1. Locations
Our first filming location is a grassy area in Monton which is not far from college. It has a suitable
path which fits in right with our first scenes in the film. Half of Scene 1 is filmed in this location, and
we’ll see George walking up behind Jenny and he hands her a rose. We wanted to use this because it
fitted in well with our script and what type of place we wanted out characters to look best in. The
first scene is where George runs up behind Jenny and hands her a rose, using this location is great
because you’ve got a curved path and it looks really natural the way George is running after her. We
did think about using a main road and tried a few shots but didn’t have as much as an effect as using
this location does.
This location is just across the road from the grass as you can see it in the background. We wanted to
use this strip of road because it is close to the previous location and it fits in with the scene that
wanted to film here. This is where we see mark walking down the road. It’s local and reachable for
our entire group.
