this is a book about the Jaguar that I wrote for my ex-roommate Julia Rubin.

1. Diet

A jaguar is an carnivore that means it will only eat meat it will only eat meat
and that also means that these animals are predators. The types of animals
that these cats will that there cats will eat is huge mammals, reptiles, birds
and they will also eat eggs to the other animals that they will eat is
capybaras, peccaries, tapirs, turtles and they will eat alligators to. After the
jaguar has killed its prey then if it does not frish it then it will bury it so that
they can save it for later. The best time for these cats to hunt is during the
night and means that these animals are nocturnal which means that these
animals are active at night. The other animals that jaguars will eat is deer,
peccary, crocodile, snakes, monkeys, deer, sloths, tapirs, turtles, eggs, fish
and any other animal, that they can find. A jaguar will attack any animal
that it can catch but the animals that they will mostly eat is very large prey
animals like peccaries, tapirs, deer and they can also eat cattle which is
causing a lot of problems for people that is because the jaguars are taking
their cattle. Jaguars will eat so many different types of animals and those
animals like turtles, tapirs and they will also eat deer to. The other food that
they will eat deer to. The other food that they will eat is this special
crocodile that is called the caiman. The other animals that they will eat is
deer, capybara, tapir, peccary, dogs, foxes, anacondas, turtle , frogs, mice,
birds, fish, sloths, monkeys, pacas, and they will also eat armadillos, The
diet of the jaguar can eat about 80 different types of animals. They get their
food from the water and from land as well that is because these cats have
very big diets. When these cats are in their natural habitat then the food
that they will eat is peccary, deer, monkeys, big rodents, tapirs, caiman and
they will also eat fish this is the food that they will eat when they are living
in the wild. The jaguars that live in captivity will usually be felt with feline
mix which is also known as ground meat fortified with lots of vitamins and
minerals.This is how the Jaguar will kills its prey. When they kill very big
animals they normally bite right into the skull with their canine teeth and

cats will rather stalk their prey than chasing it or to do a surprise attack do
which is called a ambush. These cats do not even pounce on their prey but
this cat has perfect technique and they also have very good abilities as well
good. The jaguar is done killing its prey than it will drag it to a place so that
they can so that they can eat in peace. These cats are very strong that
these cats can even carry a very large animal through swimming in a lake
or river and they can still hold on to the very large animal that they catched
and they can also carry big animals up a tree as well. After they have
caught their prey then they will use their powerful canines to kill them by
the skull then they will eat it with their amazing powerful jaws. This cats are
nocturnal hunters which means they are most active at night but there has
been sightings of an jaguar hunting during the day to. Mostly they will hunt
during dawn and dusk. When these cats are living in captivity the food that
they will eat is Beef, mutton, chicken, or rabbits, beef knuckle bones and
commercially prepared feline diet, ground meat and vitamins. These cats
will actually eat anything that they can find that means that can eat up herd
animals and insects. The jaguar happens to be a very good hunter and
they can eat that they can catch. These cats will also kill cattle which is a
big problem that is between the humans and the jaguar. The other animals
that these cats hunt is tapirs, sloth, monkeys, fish, reptiles and they will
also eat domestic livestock. When these cats are going after a large animal
to kill it the jaguar will usually kill them by taking a very powerful bite
through the growl with their very strong canine teeth when they are
attacking a small animal than it will kill them by one swipe of their paw.

The jaguar live in so many different types of places and the places where
these cats live is in the rainforests, deserts, and they also live on
grasslands to and these parts of the world is where these cats live in

southern of the United States and they can be found in Argentina. These
cats can also be found in forests and on Savannas. They can also be found
on scrub and in the desert areas as well. They can also be found
surrounded by fresh water. Jaguars live in the America like they can live on
North, central and South America. These cats can be found in different
types of habitats and the habitats that they live in the Americas is places
like rainforests, swampy areas, grasslands, woodlands, dry forests and
they can also be found in deserts to. These big cats can usually be found in
places that are in the Western Hemisphere. The types of places where
jaguars live is in different places that is in the America like they can also be
found in around Mexico and they can also sometimes be found in
southwestern of the United States but it is very rare to find them there. The
types of Rainforests that these cats live in is deciduous and they can also
be found in tropical rainforests. These cats do not just live in Rainforest.
They can also be found in the mountain areas and they also live on wet
savannas this is a place where they go to hunt for fish, but they will
normally be seen around fresh water areas. Jaguars can be found on all of
the Americas that means that they live on North, central and they can also
be found in Arizona which is located in the United States. The types of
habitats that these cats live in is rainforests, swamps, deserts, and they will
also be found on all the continents of the Americas. They can also be seen
in some states of the United States and those states are Texas, the cerro
colorado they can be found on the mountains of Arizona. They also live on
the Southern part of New Mexico. The ones that live in these states are
usually found in the rainforests in central and in south America. These cats
will mostly be found South America but they can also be found in Chile,
central America, Coloado and they will also be found in New Mexico to and
the types of habitats that they live in are places like rainforests, grasslands
and they can also be found on woodlands to. Jaguars will normally be
found in places like rainforests, Savannahs, and they will also be found

THese cats can be found in the Jungles, Scrub land, shorelands. Forests
and in need thickets that are in central and in South America the other
place that they live in is in Northern Mexico and they will also be found in
patagonia to. The best places to look for Jaguars the places that are near
water. They can also survive in grasslands and in deserts to. Jaguars live
on all of the continents of the americas. Jaguars live in different types of
places and the places where these cats live in is North, Central and in
South America and they will sometimes be seen in Arizona which is located
in the United states. These cats use to live all over Argentina and in South
America and in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but today they are some
Jaguars that can be in the united states. These cats are endangered in the
patagonia that is in South America. Jaguars make their homes in lots of
different places and those places and those places are deciduous forests,
tropical rainforests, swamps, pampas grasslands and they can also be
found in the mountain scrub areas. These cats rather live in places like in

than that the length of the jaguar is 3.8 to 6 feet (1.1 to 1.8 meters). These

jaguar is 57 - 113 kg and the females can weigh about 46 - 91 kg.The

that have black spots on them which are called rosettes they are called that
because they look like roses but there are some jaguars that have really
dark spots that look like they do not have any spots at all but when they go
into really bright sunlight are a really good look at them you can easily see
their really dark spots. These cats have really yellowish fur that is full of big
dark rosettes patterns that can locate on their really dark fur. These spots
can be found all over the jaguar’s body. There are so many jaguars that
have a tan or orange fur coat that is covered with black spots that can be
found on all over their body that are called rosettes they are called because

do not have an breeding season meaning they will give birth all year
around. The gestation period for the jaguar is 100 days. A female will give
birth to about 2 or 4 cubs this is how many cubs that they can have in a
litter. The females will continue to feed their cubs milk until they are about 1
year old and this also when they are done protecting them to. They will be
off on their own until they are about 2 years old. The cubs will reach
maturity when they are about 2 or 3 this is how old the female cubs will
reach maturity. The males will reach maturity in about 4 years. The females
will reach maturity when they are about 2 years old, and the males will
reach maturity when they are 3 or 4 years old.Mating will happen no matter
where they live even they live in the wild or in captivity they will both be
ready to have babies at anytime of the year. The gestation period for the
jaguar is 93 or 110 days. There is not a lot that we know about the jaguar
that is because it is very hard to find them. The only time that males and

done mating than the male will go out into his territory and the female will
have a total litter of one or four cubs this is how many cubs that these cats
have in a litter. The moment that the cubs are born they will be totally blind
and they will weight about less than 1kg each. In six months the cubs will
join their mother on a hunting trip so that the cubs can see how their
mother hunts for food because they will have to do this when they get
older. The cubs will reach maturity in about 2 or 3 years and the males will
reach maturity in about 3 or 4 years. The gestation period for the jaguar is
about 91 to 110 days.The females will usually have about 2 or 4 cubs in a
litter. The other gestation period for these cats is 13 to 2.5 months. The
weight of an new born jaguar cub is 1,5 to 2 pounds (700 to 900 grams). A
female jaguar will have a total of one or four cubs in a litter but the average
account of cubs that an jaguar can have is two cubs. The females will build
their den by dense thorn thicket or they can also build them under tree
roots. A female will reach maturity in about 2 or 3 years the males will
reach maturity in 3 or 4 years. The gestation period will last about 91 to 110
days. The female will have a total litter of four cubs but the average litter
for a jaguar is usually two cubs. Jaguars will mate all year round these cats
are known to be solitary animals but they only come together when it is
time to have babies. This is how a female will let the male that she is ready
to mate the females will fertile in about 6 or 17 days which can happen in
every month. Then the female will start to leave marks and she will also
roar this is how a female will tell a male that she is ready to mate. After the
couple are done mating than the female will give birth in 3 months. The
average litter of cubs is 2 or 3 cubs that is how many cubs that can make a
litter. The moment that these cubs are born they will be completely blind
the moment that they are born.
Surivival Status

16. Jaguars face so many different types of threats that are caused by humans.
The threats that they face is loss of habitat meaning that they are losing
their homes because people are destroying it because so that they can
make room for farms, ranchers, mines, road, cities and towns, residential
subdivisions and they are also building border infrastructure.all of these
places are being build on the habitats that jaguars live. The reason why this
is a problem because survival because if people destory jaguars homes
than they will have no places to live or wander into places where people
live. The reason why they do that is because it is very hard to find food
where they live and there is not enough food for them to hunt. They will
also start to kill livestock from ranchers. Jaguars have no natural predators
but there is one predator that is to powerful than them and that predator is
no other than humans. The threats that these cats face is habitat
fragmentation and loss of human encroachment and the fur trade. These
threats happens to be the most threats that this cat face, but there some
good news though because there are some parts of the Americas where
these cats are protected . The places where these cats are protected is
Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico and they can also be found in Peru
these places are protecting them from hunting purpose. The jaguars that
live in Bolivia are being protected by trophy hunters and by being killed by
taking livestock from farms and ranchers. The other threats that these cats
face is human Intolerance. When people come to take over their habitats
this means that it is going to be very hard for them to look for food so what
they do is that they wander into places where people live and than they will
start to kill livestock which ranchers do not like so these people will kill
these cats for eating their livestock. The tolerance for these cats happens
to be very low which will lead to additional killing.Another problem for these
cats is loss of habitat they are living in places where it is very hard to find
food. The other reason why these cats are endangered is that people are
trapping and posioning them for killing their livestock. The other threats that
these cats face is logging, mining and farming. There are about 10.000 of
jaguars that are lefted in the wild, but their numbers seem to always
decrease everyday. These beautiful cats are also getting killed by poachers

17. because of their unique rosette - spotted coats. In the year of 1997 these
cats were listed on the fish and wild like service have added these cats to
the endangered species list. scientists think that there are about 10,000
jaguars that are still living in the wild today, but the numbers of these cats
are stinking very fast because due to habitat destruction and the
commercial fur trade that can be found in lots of different types of areas
around the Americas. These cats are almost close to extinction but in the
Amazon rainforests that is in South America happens to have a very large
resident populations in this area. The key to these cats surivival is the
ability to adapt to changes that is going with their environment conditions
this is called an umbrella species. The umbrella species is defined as a
species. The threats that these cats face is that people are hunting them.
Their populations are suffering because of loss of habitat and
fragmentation. The jaguars ecological role is mostly their close resemble
which is the tiger. That will generally cover very large areas that is in their
daily or seasonal movements.

We must do something to help and to save these amazing animals.
These cats need all the help that they can get. Jaguars have the right to
continue living on this planet. They are doing their part in nature and we
should find a place in nature to. This is a really big planet that is filled with
wonders and discoveries that are just waiting to be found. We have to
make this planet a safe place for us and for the other creatures that we
share it with. This is our beautiful home it deserves to have a second
chance to live on for the next generation to come on this planet. There is a
big,bright and beautiful future that is what will happen if we find a way to
protect our planet, then our world and our home will be a much happier and
a much cleaner place to live on. We have to make room for other living
