1. Integrated SAP Implementation
Background
CIDCO followed a need-based computerisation approach for day-
to-day operation based on the requirements of individual
departments/sections. These non-integrated and partially in-house
developed stand-alone systems were not meeting business
requirements and leading to operational roadblocks. Lack of
integration, non-availability of up-to-date data and absence of
proper MIS was strongly felt. CIDCO had implemented SAP in
2003, however only vendor payments and marketing receipts were
being done through the application. Further the hardware has also
become outdated. As a result CIDCO decided to implement SAP
in all departments holistically.
Location
The application will be hosted at tier III data centre in Navi
Mumbai with DR site in Bangalore.

Detailed Scope
The SAP ERP solution requirements at CIDCO are broadly
classified under two categories:
The core operations are covered under FICO (Finance &
Controlling), SD (sales & Distribution), MM (Material Management),
PS (Project Systems) and RE (Real Estate) module. These
modules are already implemented in CIDCO except RE module.
Since it is envisaged to bring all key departments under the SAP
umbrella, the following additional modules are proposed to be
taken
• Treasury Management: For monitoring of revenue collection &
disbursement, investment & funding activities of the
organisation
• Business Object reporting: For Reporting, analysis and
interpretation of business data for optimising process for
MIS report
• Citizen services: e-payment for citizen service, managing
public oriented services quickly and cost effectively
• Payroll management: All HR activities including salary & other
benefits to employee
• Net weaver technology: Gateway to integrate third party
software and web access of SAP application
