Technology today is integral to almost all
aspects of our lives and most of the time
it’s a force for good. And yet the
potential adverse consequences are
spreading faster and cutting deeper. The
threats to security, threats to privacy,
fake news, and social media that
becomes antisocial. Sometimes the very
technology that is meant to connect us
divides us. Technology is capable of
doing great things.
I’m not worried about artificial
intelligence giving computers the ability
to think like humans. I’m more
concerned about people thinking like
computers without values or
compassion, without concern for
consequences.
Teknologi saat ini merupakan bagian
integral dari hampir semua aspek
kehidupan kita dan sebagian besar waktu
merupakan kekuatan untuk kebaikan.
Namun konsekuensi negatif potensial
menyebar lebih cepat dan memotong lebih
dalam. Ancaman terhadap keamanan,
ancaman terhadap privasi, berita palsu, dan
media sosial yang menjadi antisosial.
Terkadang teknologi yang dimaksudkan
untuk menghubungkan kita membuat kita
terbelah. Teknologi mampu melakukan hal-
hal besar.

buatan yang memberi komputer
kemampuan untuk berpikir seperti manusia.
Saya lebih peduli tentang orang-orang yang

Pada era Google, kita tidak terlalu perlu untuk
menghafal segala sesuatu

komputer jauh lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, kita harus
lebih memfokuskan pada ‘human skills’:
