You are busy running your program When people hear about all the cool things you are  doing, they will want to  support you
But if you don’t tell them about all the cool things about FLL ….
What can you do?
Assign a PR Coordinator to help spread the word
Your ideal PR coordinator is… Dynamic Well-connected Well-spoken Savvy Personable Reliable  Persistent Succinct
Arm them with the right tools FLL PR Toolkit  Intellectual Property Policy FIRST Marketing Tools
Have them create a database of media contacts Make sure they include specific names, titles, phones, fax numbers and email addresses.
Don’t forget to include social media
Pay attention to delivery ,[object Object]
Address items to specific individuals,[object Object]
But don’t be obnoxious The key is to motivate, not alienate.
Start promoting 3 weeks before your event Remember the rule of threes For post-promotion,  don’t wait more than 3 days after the event
