The Population and Housing Census (PHC) in Kiribati is the main source of agricultural data as there are no dedicated agricultural censuses. The PHC has collected agricultural information at the household level since 1985. Questions on livestock ownership and crops grown are included in the census. Data is disseminated through reports and online. Support is needed to strengthen agricultural statistics, including capacity building, technical assistance, and financial assistance to potentially conduct a future agricultural census.
