Now we’ll quickly talk about Eventbrite and Batchbook. Mitch, after being at Eventbrite for 3 years, what do you think makes it unique compared to other ticketing and registration providers in the industry?Mitch to transition to Pam
Megan to transition – Great – so to get us started I wanted to talk quickly about the ticketing lifecycle of events
Alright, to get started. Since we’re talking about driving ticket sales through data, I thought it would be interesting to shed some light on the ticketing lifecycle for events. 38% of eventsonly sell ½ their tickets in the week prior to the event, 33% 1 week prior and 29% 2 weeks prior – that means that event organizers are not only worrying about the logistics of their event, but they also have to worry about selling the remaining ½ of their tickets in the last weeks prior to their event! That’s a lot to worry about! So after today’s webinar we hope you’ll walk away with some ideas to help you speed that process up and make sure your target audience Is getting excited about the event, earlier rather than later! At Eventbrite, all our marketing decisions are based off of the data, but you have to understand how to use it right, which is what Mitch is going to dive into next.
So Mitch has just reviews what type of information to gather to help you accomplish your goals, now Pamela is going to dive into how to find the right people to invite!
(in fundraising, Returning participants raise more money. In fact, they may outperform new participants by over 6x according to Blackbaud’s 2012 Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Benchmark Study.)So now you have set up all your marketing campaigns, but it’s really important to actually understand what’s working? Mitch is going to talk more about how to do that so that you’re focusing your efforts effectively.
