Summary of Student Feedback
I wanted to thank you for all your help these last three years. You have always been a
source of guidance and encouragement. Thank you!
What can I say, you were wonderful! You made D feel comfortable and safe in what for
her was a very frightening prospect. She loved you and is now very excited with the
idea of finishing something she never expected to complete. This is one of those lifelong
dreams you made come true. I am very grateful.
You exhibited such patience to my ceaseless questions. You were so helpful in
navigating me through the unique logistics of my life circumstances. You were
professional, warm and thoughtful. You never gave me any indication you already
helped hundreds of students before me. There are hundreds, if not thousands of adult
learners impacted by your work. You have been guide to so many in their educational
journey. You can proudly reflect on a professional career that has genuine meaning &
purpose. Your commitment allowed so many graduates to hold their heads higher with
new knowledge. You should also hold your head so very high.
I think of you often also - you changed my life in such a positive way, and for that, I will
be forever grateful. In fact, you were the first person I thought of when I received my
diploma.
Hope you are doing well. Because you believed in me, know that you are part of all my
accomplishments both now and in the future.
Just wanted to let you know that I received my acceptance letter yesterday in the mail!
Thank you so much for the guidance and support! I could not have done it without you: )
I am so excited for this chance to finally be a part of the UW.
A million thanks!
I am over the moon and wanted to thank you so much for your assistance and your
encouraging words over the last couple years. Without your help and positivity I am not
sure how this path would have gone. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
Thank-you. I am so appreciative of how kind and helpful you were! I can't express how
encouraging it is to feel like someone is on your side and wants to make sure I obtain my
degree. Thank-you again! I will let you know if I run into any questions. Tara
I just wanted to say hello and thank you again for all your help during my time at
UW. You are the BEST Connie!
I wanted to thank you for your time over the last year and a half. Your help was
invaluable. I completed the program requirements as of the end of fall quarter and I will
look back on this time fondly, missing the interaction in class but looking ahead to new
challenges.
Thanks for being such an awesome adviser throughout the years. I adore you!
It's been a while to say the least! I can't count how many times I've thought to myself "I
really should email Connie...". I can't believe it's already been 2 and a half years since I
graduated. I don't think I ever properly thanked you for all of your help along the way.
The EDP is a very happy memory in my life and I will always be so grateful.
Anyway I hope that you and everyone else in the advising office is doing well,
I truly appreciate all your help, I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for the
great conversations, the sound advice, and just for being. My experience at UW wouldn't
have been as rewarding and interesting if it wasn't for you.
Thank you for everything. I feel over-joyous about the accomplishment and
overwhelmed with the amount of work.... being in school kept me engaged and restored
my sense of worth. Do you remember that cold rainy Friday evening I first came to meet
you to talk about the program. I could barely breathe from so much pain in my heart, I
left your office breathing and seeing a path. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
...thank you for your continual assistance with my education goals. You've been
absolutely priceless in your help.
The EDP helped me accomplish a life-long goal of getting a degree. The counselors,
particularly Connie, were awesome in being there to support me every step of the way. I
would highly recommend the program and would gladly share my experience with
students thinking about taking this step in life. It seemed daunting and overwhelming but
in the end, was such a great, rewarding and fulfilling experience. Thank you, Connie,
you really rock.
Evening Degree Staff all seem happy, very easy to talk to, and enjoy their professional
pursuits..
I have been very impressed with the ease of applying and being accepted into the
evening degree program. The advisor I met with really encouraged me to apply even
though I had my doubts. I was accepted within a month. I couldn't believe it. Every step
of the way has been extremely easy and stress free. I've been very happy with the whole
experience.
I'm very excited to be a part of this program. My interactions with the staff have been
excellent, everyone from the receptionist to the Director has been extremely helpful and
considerate.
Connie Montgomery was a helpful and honest advisor! She laid my class load out for me
and made sure I was on track to graduate. If and when I have more friends from the
Army needing degree advice I'll send them her way.
Awesome advisors!
I wish everyone from every department is as nice as Ms. Montgomery!
Two years ago, my experience was not so good. This time everything was great.
Evening Degree Advisors were wonderful and helpful and I am ready to start school.
Connie is a great adviser! She answered all of my questions, but I learned so much
more from her. She showed care and concern for my concerns and was wonderful at
follow through. Always beyond helpful, I leave feeling not only that my questions were
answered but I am cared about as a student.
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the research class. It was a wonderful
experience. It has been a long journey and one that could not have happened without
your support.
Thank you very much for being patient with me this evening. That was only the
SECOND time in my life I have had to step up in front of other people and speak. I am
deathly afraid of public speaking. The last and first time I got up in front of people I
completely froze and almost passed out.Thank you so so so so so much for this
experirnece /class. You will never know how much it means to me. Even if I total lost
track of what I had intended to discuss during my presentation..what matters is that I DID
IT..I didn’t pass out. I didn’t freeze and I got through it with needing CPR to bring me
back! What an amazing experience.
Thank you for the encouragement and understanding as they make me stronger and
reaffirm my inner voice when I’m in doubt with myself. To that all I can say is a big thank
you. I really appreciate it. Without your help, I may not be able to graduate on time or at
least, not happily graduating.
As my first year of graduate school closes, I am full of gratitude for all that you did to
establish a firm foundation for the rest of my professional path. Every day I am
reminded of how you were instrumental in setting me forth on what I feel is a meaningful
educational journey. All of the progress I have made to this point has been shaped by
our first meeting when you encouraged me to enter the PCE degree program. So, I just
wanted to thank you for my experiences in the evening degree and for helping me make
it to the iSchool where I have enjoyed many opportunities and successes. I truly
appreciate everything you do, and I know you must be doing so much for your students
even as I write this. I am reminded of the dedication that you show for all of the PCE
students and I admire the guidance and helpful advice you offer to everyone you
encounter. Thank you always for your mentorship and support.
I wanted to thank you again for your support throughout this long process. I really could
not have gotten to this point without you. Thank you so much again, Connie. You do so
much for your students- I hope you know just how much you’ve done for me.
I’ll be sure to stop by and say good-bye before my last day. How crazy that it’s almost
here! Thanks again for all of your help throughout the years, Connie. It has really meant
a lot and I don’t know if I could have done it without your guidance.
Well summer quarter is over and I’m finished. I want to help you for your help and
support this past year. You made what seemed a confusing process, quite doable.
Making it through has been challenging and it often seemed like I would never make it,
but here I am I’ m happy on a level that is very hard for me to explain, probably because
this is something that I did for myself..I feel a real sense of pride and empowerment.
Thanks so very much…
I cannot thank you enough in words! You’ve helped and encouraged me beyond my
needs as far as emotional support and professional support.
I received your card in the mail and I’m telling you I could have just cried. That meant a
lot to me, thanks so much. I shared it with my wife and we both had a tremendous
laugh. Wow thanks for hanging in there with me while I completed my BA. …Please
also thank all of the other sisters of the convent..Stacey, Emily and Suki, know that I
appreciate their patience and professionalism. In their own way they each made
multiple and significant differences in my progress. I consider myself a UW Professional
and Continuing Education success story as a result of your team’s hands-on advising
services.
I have finished my final and last class needed to earn my bachelor’s degree in
Humanities. I want to thank you for all of your efforts to help me get to this long overdue
milestone. You’ve helped far more than you know and have made it a smooth leg than I
would have been. It is an amazing feeling. I realize for many people it is just something
they did years ago but I know how much it means and what it does and do not take it
lightly in anyway. You helped me reach that goal and I deeply appreciate it.
I found the advising office for the Evening Degree Program to be the absolute best of my
long and scattered college career. Connie Montgomery is on the ball. She more than
picked up the slack.
I love the Evening Degree Advising office! Connie is incredible with her knowledge and
help making me feel welcome and answering all of my questions.
Like I said before, the advising office was the best I’ve dealt with.
Connie is great! I would be lost without her guidance and assistance! I don't hesitate on
any direction she provides. I have recommended her to numerous prospective students
to help with the transition to the UW. She is truly an asset to the UW advising
community.
Connie is the reason I entered, and will successfully complete the EDP!
Connie is a credit to your program!
Connie was wonderful, I got there a bit early yet she greeted me right away and made
me feel important. I am sold on the program and had a lot of my fears and concerns
eased thanks to Connie's help.
I believe this to be the best advising office on campus. I wish all students had access to
individuals such as these.
Connie Montgomery is an all-star!
We accomplish nothing on our own. I remember being petrified at the prospect of a
Political Science mid-term exam, and meeting with you to discuss my fears. You
encouraged me and gave me a study strategy. I aced the mid-term. That would not have
been possible without your support.
I wanted to let you know that you are responsible for making this dream come true for
me. From our first meeting you have given me unwavering support, and I will never
forget it. It has been a privilege to know you.
Thanks again for all your help in getting this extra credit so I can utilize the financial aid
awarded to me. And, if no one has told you lately…you’re AWESOME!! Thanks again
for all your help and for all you do; I know the success of the Evening Degree program
has a lot to do with the great job you do!!
Can I please just tell you that you are MY hero? You have made my day! I have felt so
beaten up and underappreciated these past two weeks - you have no idea how your
kind email has completely lifted my spirits. I truly appreciate it!
Thank YOU so much for taking the time to talk with me! One thing I
have really appreciated about the evening program has been the
support of the advisors.
I just want to thank you for advocating on my behalf! No matter the outcome, your work
and dedication is sincerely appreciated!

I would be lost without her guidance and assistance! I don't hesitate on any direction she provides. I have recommended her to numerous prospective students to help with the transition to the UW. She is truly an asset to the UW advising community. Connie is the reason I entered, and will successfully complete the EDP! Connie is a credit to your program! Connie was wonderful, I got there a bit early yet she greeted me right away and made me feel important. I am sold on the program and had a lot of my fears and concerns eased thanks to Connie's help. I believe this to be the best advising office on campus. I wish all students had access to individuals such as these. Connie Montgomery is an all-star! We accomplish nothing on our own. • 5. Political Science mid-term exam, and meeting with you to discuss my fears. You encouraged me and gave me a study strategy. I aced the mid-term. That would not have been possible without your support. I wanted to let you know that you are responsible for making this dream come true for me. From our first meeting you have given me unwavering support, and I will never forget it. It has been a privilege to know you. Thanks again for all your help in getting this extra credit so I can utilize the financial aid awarded to me. And, if no one has told you lately…you’re AWESOME!! Thanks again for all your help and for all you do; I know the success of the Evening Degree program has a lot to do with the great job you do!! Can I please just tell you that you are MY hero? You have made my day! I have felt so beaten up and underappreciated these past two weeks - you have no idea how your kind email has completely lifted my spirits. I truly appreciate it! Thank YOU so much for taking the time to talk with me! One thing I have really appreciated about the evening program has been the support of the advisors. I just want to thank you for advocating on my behalf! No matter the outcome, your work and dedication is sincerely appreciated!
