Building on the previous Arrow project, Arrow Plus continues the creation of an infrastructure for assisting in tracing rights holders (authors, publishers etc) of books and helping determine whether it is an orphan work, in or out of copyright or if it is still commercially available. TEL's role is to provide technical expertise in building the system and also provide its aggregated bibliographic dataset of European books. ENUMERATE is creating a reliable baseline of statistical data about digitisation, digital preservation and online access to cultural heritage in Europe. TEL is one of the expert partners providing advise on the progress of the project. Europeana Libraries is a key EU-funded project for TEL, incorporating 17 new research libraries who are allowing their metadata, and in some cases content, to be aggregated by TEL and made available via multiple sources, such as Europeana The outputs from the project includes a new resource discovery portal for researchers and a business plan to guide TEL in 2013-5 Seventeen partners are working together on the Europeana Newspapers project, workin on up to 18m pages of digitised newspapers from across Europe. TEL's role is to act as the aggregator for the project, harvesting the digitised newspapers from the and providing a central mechanism to search over them. CENDARI will provide and facilitate access to existing archives and resources in Europe for the study of medieval and modern European history (specifically the First World War period) and develop appropriate digital tools for reserachers in these fields. TEL is assisting with the development of the content strategy, the appropriate metadata schema and with the long-term sustainability of the service. Taking as part of its corpus the TEL dataset of full-text articles, Diggicore will identify patterns in the behaviour of research communities, detecting trends in research disciplines, gaining new insights into the citation behaviour of researchers and discovering features that distinguish papers with high impact. Europeana Cloud is cross domain and provides a virtual storage of content access
5 Economical indicators + one library indicator: Gross national income per capita $ (average for the period) (15%) • Purchasing power parity $, a figure similar to GNP but factoring in the cost of living (50%) • Gross national income $ (average for the period) (10%) • Gross domestic product $ (10%) • Population of the country (5%) The library indicator is the number of library staff per institution [CLICK] Libraries joining The European Library via a consortium would benefit from a discount on their annual membership fee ‘ Aggregation’ Consortia delivery of a single dataset in one format generates a substantial discount, as the time to ingest one big dataset is limited Purchasing Consortia More complicated than above: The consortia discount level (%) should be determined by the number of libraries joining via the consortium.
