ScrumGuide – The purpose of the Sprint
Retrospective is to:
Inspect how the last Sprint went with regards to
people, relationships, process, and tools
Identify and order the major items that went well
and potential improvements
Create a plan for implementing improvements to the
way the Scrum Team does its work

7. SOME THINGS TO
CONSIDER
Retrospectives are hugely valuable to a team
achieving high performance
They must be planned
The team must all participate by gathering data
and sharing what they felt, observed, heard during
the sprint
Trust must exist within a team where difficult
topics and challenging conversations can happen
Without this, how can a team improve?

There are a number of different techniques and
ways to conduct a retrospective
Each technique may address slightly different
issues but all should be in the name of
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
