The Indian Railways was losing money but under Lalu Prasad Yadav's 4 years of leadership, profits increased from starting at 14,000 crores in 2006, to 20,000 crores in 2007, reaching 25,000 crores in 2008.

organization. In the 4 years under Lalu Prasad
Yadav’s leadership, He also improved on his first
year's performance by stating a profit of 14,000
crores in 2006. Then, in the 2007 budget, he
increased the profit level to 20,000 crores. In
2008, profits were 25,000 crores.
