Michelin’s Lexington, S.C. site is home to its radial
passenger plant and earthmover facility.
Established in 1981, Michelin’s passenger plant
produces tires for family sedan, minivan and
luxury touring and high performance cars. The
plant occupies 1.2 million square feet and
employs approximately 1,400 people.
In 1998, Michelin expanded the site and added
the earthmover facility. This facility produces
tires for front end loaders. The earthmover
facility has added an additional 825,000 square
feet to the site since it was built in 1998, and it
employs approximately 500 employees. Together
the site spans over two million square feet and
produces some of the largest tires in the world.

select students in the Electronic Engineering
Technology (EET) major at Midlands
Technical College.

make around $45,000 plus to start and enjoy

education with approximately 2,000 hours of
formal classroom and lab training timed to
allow development and progression
throughout the formative years of their career
