 Conduct cost and pricing and business metrics for the organization; establish, monitor and analyze costing infrastructure
that correlates with pricing decisions, management reporting and ad hoc analyses; establish processes and framework for

 Develop and present pricing process training materials to key proposal participants.
 Keep informed of changes in pertinent government regulations, and update pricing policies and procedures as applicable.
 Manage DCAA and/or customer audits and fact-finding reviews; create ad-hoc financial reporting, modeling, and analyses
as required.
 Summarize project-related work to contribute to core forecasts, provide capital and P & L implications of proposed projects;
 Recommend sub-contract strategies; develop competitive pricing strategies that are defendable; apply complex life cycle
tools to achieve cost realism.
 Prepare, analyze, and present Estimated Actual Cost (EAC) against proposed material budget to Program Office
 Represent Materials Department at Program Reviews to communicate performance against material budgets.
 Prepare Small Business Plans as part of Cost Pricing Packages for proposals over $700K per FAR 52.219-9
 Responsible for submittals for ISR to the government for all sub-contracts as required.

Plan, schedule, coordinate and trace the need for purchased material throughout the manufacturing
process, including material procurement; ensure materials support the on time release of kits from
stockroom; collaborate with stockroom personnel to ensure material issues are addressed in a timely
manner; partner with purchasing and management to ensure on time delivery and/or tracking of
material needs

4. Generate, update and cancel purchase requisitions as applicable to support purchased material needs across the
organizational and Engineering Change Orders, using company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
5. Ensure drawings, instructions and procedures needed by Purchasing are provided as required; supervise
configuration control as indicated by Traveler Change Order (TCO) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) and
update as required on pars on order.
6. Flag material problems and coordinate resolution through appropriate support and management personnel.
7. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
8. Ensure 5S is adhered to and sustained within work area.
9. Coordinate, schedule and facilitate as applicable Lean/Six Sigma activities for own work area as well as for other
areas to enhance cross-functional problems solving; utilize Company tool champions as appropriate for more
significant lean events.
10. Develop, track and report visual metrics, including KPI’s for area; react to metrics by identifying and solving
problems, making improvements and advancing process control.
11. Develop and support teams that make suggestions, take initiative and actively implement improvements.

Manage the materials transferred from Engineering to Production by approving quantities,
schedules and parts list to ensure timely and complete ordering as well as receipt and issuance of
production material requirements; plan, review and develop production procedures and personnel;
use Enterprise-wide resource systems, such as SAP to conduct resource planning; maintain reports
to reflect scheduling, methods, support performance and process procedures; select, develop and
evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

such as material, equipment and documentation; continuously seek ways to improve to reduce cost and
move forward.
8. Review all pre-production WIP Master and communicate schedules and work order releases; assist
Responsible Engineers, Mechanical Engineer and Program Managers and technicians regarding all pre-
production issues.
9. Attend meetings as required and coordinate manufacturing reviews of all first article units and coordinate first
article through manufacturing process.
10. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.

Production/Material Control Planner
• Plan, schedules, coordinates and tracks the flow of hardware and material throughout the manufacturing
process, including fabrication, assembly, test and shipment; position controls jobs of moderate to high
level complexity working on multi-level programs and/or shorter turn-around times
• Generates schedules, flow sheets and other tools for the tracking of work in progress (WIP).
• Coordinates incoming customer-supplied parts and assignments of MIT number with Program Managers, Quality
Assurance, Engineering, Production, Stockroom, Shipping & Receiving and coordinate customer source inspection
of hardware.
• Monitor kits through routing operations, QA inspections; issue and expedite kits, kit splits, kit scraps, kit re-
generations as required; flag production problems and coordinate resolution through appropriate support and
management pool.
• Ensure the generation of pick lists, travelers, packing slips and other shipping paperwork as necessary.
• Provide drawings, instructions and procedures to the manufacturing areas as required; maintain configuration
control of production hardware; perform Traveler Change Orders (TCO)/Engineering Change Order (ECO)
• Writes rework instructions for kit splits and routing changes.
• Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
• Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
• Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-
functional problem solving.
