During the period: from 4 Jan 2015 till now.
Job title: QC Chemistry specialist.
Job Description:
 Applying standard methods on raw materials and finished products according to ISO/IEC
17025:
 Promoting quality awareness across the department by doing quality training.
 Defining and updating the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are
directly related to my area of concern.
 Responsibility of lab instruments performance following up.
 Responsibility of customer complain management of finished flavor.
 Responsibility of implementation of ISO 17025 in flavor lab.
 Performing required tests for products and raw materials in flavor house.
 Communication and participating with production management to get excellent products.
 Maintenance, Calibration and Testing of many analytical instruments such as:
o NMR → for oil content determination
o FTIR → for oxidation value determination of oil and fats
o (TGA – INFRALAB – HX) → Moisture Analyzers
o Auto Titrators → Salt Content in foods
o Gerber Centrifuge → for dairy products constituents’ estimation
o Material Physical Functionalities Tester → for bulk density and flow ability.
o Karl Fisher Titrators → Chemical moisture determination in volatile contained material
o FL710 → online control instrument (IR spectrum device)
o PH-Meters – Forced Air Ovens – Electrical Sieves of particle size determination
o COD & BOD Instruments → Sludge System Control of waste water treatment
Projects & Achievements
 Mono Sodium Glutamate test method updating.
I had applied and carried out a validation of a new test method (thermo gravimetrical
analysis) of MSG which was being tested by Karl Fisher Method, that’s why results were out
of limits acc.to wrong method of testing and not complying specifications (< 10 %!!)
Benefits:-
 Updating moisture content specs to be complied with international standards (< 0.5 %)
 Preventing blenders shutting down that caused by MSG shipments rejection, since 10 /
2015.
 Flavor raw materials moisture determination test method updating.
Acc.to the same concept of moisture determination of crystallized materials, I had changed
testing of other twelve raw materials those was being tested by Karl Fisher to be tested by
thermo gravimetrical analysis.
Benefits:-
 Carrying out the test acc.to international validated test procedure, in order to get accurate
results, consequently, enhance our commitment of quality.
 Cost reducing of Karl Fisher reagent, solvent, calibrating chemicals.
 Decreasing handling errors of Karl Fisher procedure.
 New tests applying on raw materials analysis and inspection.
I had searched on and applied other tests for flavor raw materials, to increase control
measure of raw, because of repeating internal complain of raw materials functionalities.
Benefits:-
 Applying three new tests (Fat determination of dairy raw material by Gerber centrifuge
method, PH test, acidity test)
 Internal complains reduction to less than 20 % of that was before.
 Functionality inspection of finished flavor.
I had updated finished flavor functionality procedure to be maintained instrumentally and in
accurate by using FLOW TESTER, Electrical Sieve and Dustiness Box, in order to, inspect
Flow ability, Particle size and dustiness, respectively.
Benefits:-
 Fast and easy functionality inspection ( save time ).
 More healthy than before, because of less exposure to dusts.
 Complain regarding flavor effiecincy during application could be maintained more easier
than before and can be prevented surely be pre-releasing inspection.
