This media product represents social groups involved in metal music, including metal bands and fans. It uses a dark color scheme of reds, purples, and blacks to appeal to metal fans. The images featured on the cover and inside pages represent people involved in the metal genre. The blurred backgrounds of the images create a distorted sense common in metal music to further represent that genre and enhance the characters featured.

Evaluation Question 2
1. How does your media
product represent
particular social groups?
2. Colour Scheme
• My colour scheme of reds, purples and
blacks all blend together to give off a
sense off rock, appealing to the metal fans
in the world. The fact the colours on my
pages are overall fairly dark show that my
magazine sways more towards men, but
will also attract the girls if they are really
into the music being presented.
3. Images
• All of my images shown, especially the
front cover and DPS show a
person/people who fit the genre of metal.
Therefore the group that I represented
were the metal bands themselves, as well
as fans of this genre.
4. Background
• The background of my images are overall
not entirely clear, which creates a sense of
distortion. This is a common characteristic
of rock/metal music which is the genre I
am trying to create. This background also
helps to enhance the character/characters
shown, and the stage lights will help
appeal to the people who like their music
loud.
