Social and European Project Design for Non
Profit Associations
YEP! Youth Empowerment
Priorities
Florence 23-31 August 2015
What a project is
Designing a project means implement initiatives, small and
large, addressed to their community, taking certain
characteristics:
 defined objectives
 uniqueness
 limited duration
 limited resources
2
3
Design a project is like
planning
The duties of those who have the responsibility to
organize an initiative are:
 give a logical order to the conduct of operations to
an expected result;
 involve the resources (human, material etc.)
suitable for implementation of the initiative;
 organize the work in full respect of the times.
4
The project generates projects
The project should represent not only an
opportunity to respond to a real need found,
but also an incentive for the development
and implementation of new initiatives.
5
Why do a project?
The project is a RESPONSE to a REAL
need
THE PROJECT MUST JUSTIFY THE
FINANCING
6
Why do an european project?
4 GOOD REASONS BEYOND THE PERSPECTIVE
OF FINANCING:
1. opportunity to introduce
INNOVATION
2. opportunity to exchange
experiences INTERNATIONALLY (EU)
7
Why do an european project?
3. opportunities for PERSONAL and
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH and
improvement of the organization
4. opportunities of VISIBILITY and
VALIDATION through the project
8
How to turn an idea into a
project?
9
STAGES OF THE PROJECT
DESIGN
1. the definition of the premises or the analysis of the
context;
2. data research and analysis of needs;
3. the definition of the expected result;
4. the definition of goals and objectives;
5. work planning;
6. the financial planning;
7. the economic reporting;
8. the evaluation.
10
How to analyze the needs and find
objectives
