Perkembangan metaverse sebagai konvergensi realitas fisik yang disempurnakan secara virtual, menjadikan manusia modern dihadapkan dengan titik perubahan baru terutama paradigma kehidupan.
Perkembangan dan peluang ekonomi serta peningkatan produktifitas dalam bekerja menjadi dampak positif yang akan dirasakan manusia kedepan. Namun, perkembangan metaverse tak lepas dari dampak negatif yang menyertai seperti isu _cyber security_, _digital privacy_, degradasi interaksi sosial, bahkan krisis identitas sebagai manusia sejati.
Integritas sebagai sebuah kebenaran dan ketepatan dari tindakan manusia sesuai kaidah moral harus menjadi fondasi kehidupan manusia dalam era metaverse kedepan. Manusia berintegritas adalah khitah yang harus dijalankan sebagai manusia sejati terutama dalam menyongsong era metaverse ke depan.

Apa itu metaverse?
● Meta (from the Greek μετά, meta, meaning "after" or
"beyond") is a prefix meaning "more comprehensive" or
"transcending." Universe is all existing matter and space
considered as a whole, a collection of all galaxies. Jadi istilah
kata Metaverse ini lebih besar daripada universe.
● Dunia khayal online yang meniru dan memenuhi kebutuhan
dan aktivitas dunia nyata
● Istilah Metaverse diambil dari buku novel ‘Snow Crash’ ditulis
oleh Neal Stephenson yang diterbitkan tahun 1992 - cerita
seorang hacker bernama Hiro yang menghabiskan waktu
luangnya dengan masuk ke dunia khayal “Metaverse”. Orang-
orang bergabung masuk ke Metaverse melalui jaringan kabel
TV melalui terminal pribadi yang memunculkan gambar
virtual reality di kaca mata pengguna.

produce a predicted output. The goal of AI is to make a smart computer system like
humans to solve complex problems.

Alat jual/beli digital yang didasari oleh pencatatan tersebar (blockchain

12. Non-Fungible Token
In June 2017, Matt Hall and John Watkinson released 10,000 CryptoPunks, a set of
tokenized 24×24 pixel art images built on top of Ethereum. Each Punk was unique and could
be officially owned by only one person. Originally free and available for anyone to claim, the
value of these tokens (or NFTs) has since exploded and the most expensive one was
recently sold for $7.6Mn. (Investments et al., 2021)

recess, NFTs are ‘trading cards’ for the very
wealthy.
Non-fungible tokens or NFTs are cryptographic assets on a blockchain with unique identification
codes and metadata that distinguish them from each other. Unlike cryptocurrencies, they cannot

lingkungannya di dunia maya.
● Komunitas baru dengan budaya yang baru dibentuk oleh peserta global.
Bahasa dan ras tidak lagi menjadi halangan.

● Kecanduan dunia digital virtual (second life alive)
● Hubungan renggang dengan dunia nyata (apathy with true reality) karena
Metaverse jadi tempat pelarian.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS
17. Segway to Ethics
● Digital transformation is about people, not technology. Technology
should enhance human capacities, but should not replace the true
and real human relationships.
● Technology is designed with ethical restraints (to avoid cheat, lie,
oppressive power, etc), but often abused when used outside the
original context. Technology can achieve its intended purpose if
operated on strong ethical foundation.
