3. It is interesting that the concept of focusing on the breathing as the focal point rather than another object is really connected to the practices associated with mindfulness techniques as well... they really work and put you "in the moment" -- it seems like when we put ourselves in that positioning it stills the spirit and mind as well as the body and that then allows a higher state of revelation or consciousness,to occur, which alters our perspective and makes us more able to receive and give light, love and understanding.
4. In this presentation some of the benefits of mental fitness will be described, three supportive research studies given, as well as two examples of exercise activities, that can assist in achieving mental fitness.

6. The body, mind and spirit are integrated, and each effect the other, but putting things in the proper priority makes a difference as well... seeking first the spiritual (or kingdom of God) and that then introducing a higher consciousness, or state of awareness, which effects your perspective and thoughts, which in turn sends the healing signals of peace and unconditional love, this then is healing to the body as well.
7. I think that the subtle mind meditation, deep breathing practices would be most beneficial as a prelude to the loving and kindness mediation... and these both would be participatory or preparatory to a state of prayer ..

10. Two: Empirical studies have shown that there is a direct connection between the HRV, or variation of the heart rate, to the parasympathetic nervous system, several electrophysiological correlates have been found on intentional heart focus and the feeling or state of being in love -- these studies are showing that sincere love, appreciation and caring, feeling loved, causes the heart rhythms to become smooth and regular which also results in the balancing of the nervous system, which effects the function and healing of the body. 11. Three : T he cognitive sensory inhibitory state, which is the same state that is found during hypnosis and paranormal experiences (which are spiritually centered as well), is brought about by a projection of love feelings, and has been implicated in self healing and the healing of others. The subtle energetic holoform can be transmitted and received, being energy. This state has been linked to high serum levels of osytocin, secreted by the hypothalamus, and is said to be the altruistic love hormone. This love can take the form of subtle energy and is generated by the healer, which energy can be sent and received across space and time. This information is so exciting, because it literally show how the projections of love energy can actually cause your body to release osytocin, which would flood your body with the healing love potion…which would effect the heart rate and nervous system, and effect not only the state of love, peace and harmony but also of healing. 13. Do a standing deep squat, with legs spread wide, knees over toes, as you lower into position, use deep breathing techniques and exhale slowly, moving your arms into a open palms crossed position in front of you.
14. As you Inhale deeply, slowly open arms into a open arch positioning to either side of your body, opening arms up and wide, you raise them to begin to form a wide open circle, or sun, as you slowly raise your arms high over your head forming a round circle- sun, pause and hold your breath momentarily as your fingers touch at the top of the sun.
15. Exhale slowly as you gradually lower your arms, slowly, in a wide arch, go back into your deep squat positioning, as you are exhaling, slowly and deeply, as you are lowering your arms you are opening up the circle until your arms are in an open arch positioning to either side of your body, and palms up, cross again in front of the body.
16. Repeat, As you are raising your arms to form the sun sign you are inhaling deeply
20. Think of or say positive, uplifting & inspiring affirmative thoughts or statements to yourself
21. *These meditative exercises are in addition to the loving and kindness exercises which are focused on unselfishness, loving, caring, inner peace and global unity or unity consciousness, projecting love and kindness to others and yourself, as well as the subtle mind exercises which are centered on focused, deep breathing techniques, with the breath as the focal point.
