3. Jessie J- Analysis
Mise en scene:
Jessie J is dressed in all black which is unusual
for a pop artists as they usually have bright
colours, this shows she is branching out of the
pop genre and could show rebellion.
Design:
The main colours of the font are gold and white,
again which is not typical of pop artists. The
font which describes the name of the album
and singles is simple, which shows she is grown
up and sophisticated.
Camerawork:
There is a close up of Jessie J as she poses with
her hands on her head, it is quite a strong pose
which shows he is independent and also a
strong woman. This is common for pop artists
as it promotes them and is therefore
recognisable.
5. Nelly- Analysis
Camerawork:
There is close up of Nelly allowing the audience
to see his face expression which is quite
intimidating which shows he is quite rebellious.
Mise en scene:
Nelly is seen wearing a bandage on his face
which again can show he is quite rebellious and
violent and implies he gets into a lot of fights.
He is also wearing a headband which was
common of the time it was released and also
adds to the rebellious image.
Design:
The colours for the font are black and white
which are simple, the font for the name of the
album cover ‘Nellyville’ is curly which shows
that his genre of music is quite R’n’B. The
background is a pale yellow which is faded out
which can support his image.
7. Mise en scene:
The background is black which is common of the rock
genre. The font used for the titles is in block capitals
and is quite rough which can again relate to the rock
genre.
Design:
The Parent Advisory stamp is featured towards the
bottom of the page which shows that they are
rebellious and use a lot of inappropriate language,
common of rock artists.
The layout of the writing and images is quite simple and
enables you to read everything clearly.
The date that the album is released is also featured
towards the bottom of the poster which informs the
audience of when the album is available, and that is
available to purchase from amazon.
Their website is also featured on the poster, where the
audience can visit and learn more about the band.
Camerawork:
There is a full shot of the main image on the front of the
poster, it is common of rock bands to have images
rather than pictures of the band.
