The Grow Division Opens Its Doors As A Key Marketing Company Specializing in the 
Emerging Cannabis Industry 
 
Marketing pioneers Eddie Donaldson and James Marland have come together to form The 
Grow Division, which will aim to serve companies in the medical and recreational cannabis 
markets as legislation for marijuana legalization nears. 
 
Los Angeles, CA (May 13, 2015) ­ The Grow Division, a full service marketing company, has 
recently opened for business catering to the Cannabis industry. Founders, Eddie Donaldson 
and James Marland are known authorities in the marketing arena and have come together to 
form this new innovative marketing platform. Their combined depth and experience in multiple 
cultural sectors enables them to provide a unique understanding of this emerging market, 
giving them a bird’s eye view of the landscape for their current and potential clientele. 
Donaldson and Marland established The Grow Division to seize valuable marketing 
opportunities that have started to become more relevant in the present day due to the forward 
movement in the legalization of cannabis. 
 
The Grow Division will cater to the whole spectrum of sensibilities and all types of marijuana 
users from the smart, successful consumers, corporate businesses, medical patients, to the 
average, recreational customer. Most recently, The Grow Division embarked on sponsorship 
sales for The Slightly Stoopid Summer Tour 2015, which is currently hitting 40 plus cities 
nationwide. TGD is also in talks with companies like Cali Love, Leafly, Booms Pharm, 
My420Mate.com, and more. With more legislation supporting the legalization of cannabis 
nationally to corporate companies funding marijuana initiatives, The Grow Division plans to be 
a prominent voice in the market developing innovative campaigns to help normalize marijuana 
as the sector grows.  
 
Founder, Eddie Donaldson is no stranger to unique, emerging markets as he currently runs 
The Marketing Division and GuerillaOne agency. Both agencies continue to provide 
marketing, event coordination, promotion, street tactics, tastemaker influence and much more 
for corporations seeking to tap into the excitement, influence and creativity of the street. 
Donaldson has worked with an array of esteemed advertising agencies such as Chiat Day 
and Wieden+Kennedy, along with groundbreaking pop culture. Donaldson has been 
successful in generating contracts for artists from corporate sponsors and has worked in a 
plethora of industries such as automotive, music, film and television, beverage, travel, art, 
fashion, internet and technology. 
 
Co­Founder, James Marland brings a wealth of knowledge to The Grow Division with an 
extensive music marketing background. Marland also has spearheaded a number of 
philanthropic initiatives. Currently, Marland is a partner at full­service music management 
company Leon Decada Music, the President of independent project management firm UVIA 
LLC, and partner at custom golf club maker David Musty Putters. In his current positions, 
Marland manages high profile music legends Jodeci, Kurupt from The Dogg Pound, Roscoe, 
and in the past has worked with artists such as Sublime and Slightly Stoopid on licensing, 
tours, and merchandise. Working directly in conjunction with the largest market research 
companies in the world, Marland is excited to add The Grow Division to his diverse business 
portfolio.
