4. As in Reed-Kellogg diagrams of sentences containing
intransitive phrasal verbs, in diagrams of sentences with
transitive phrasal verbs the particle is placed on the main line
next to the verb, and as with diagrams of sentences containing
transitive verbs, the phrasal verb is separated from the headword
of the direct object (in other words, the N of the NP) by a vertical
line perpendicular to the main line. For example, here is the
diagram of the sentence I found out the answer containing the
transitive phrasal verb find out:
