MONITORING
(a) deploying appropriate research
mechanisms to measure the effectiveness
and efficiency of OER policies and
incentives against defined objectives;
(b) collecting and disseminating progress,
good practices, innovations and research
reports on OER and its implications with
the support of UNESCO and international
open education communities; and
(c) developing strategies to monitor the
educational effectiveness and long-term
financial efficiency of OER, which include
participation of all relevant stakeholders.
Such strategies could focus on improving
learning processes and strengthening the
connections between findings, decision-
making, transparency, and accountability
to inclusive and equitable quality
education and research.

29. Priciplesof
socialJustice
• The principles of social
justice are an essential part of
effective health promotion.
There are four
interrelated principles of social
justice; equity, access,
participation and rights.
30. Social Justice
• These characteristics
include race (racism), age
(ageism), gender
(sexism), religion, and
sexuality
(heterosexism). Social
justice issues happen on
a global scale, meaning
they affect people all over
the world. They can also
take place in one
particular country or city.
37. WHATS THE ROLE OF
EDUCATION
EDUCATION NEEDS TO AIM TO DO MORE THAN TO
PREAPRE YOUNG PEOPLE FOR THE WORLD OF WORK
IT NEEDS TO EQUIP STUDENTS WITH THE SKILLS THEY
NEED TO BECOME ACTIVE, RESPONSIBLE AND ENGAGED
CITICENS
38.
39. Two questions:
1. In your context,
what is the vision
of OER as a catalyst
for social justice?
2. What do you
need from yourself
and others in order
to succeed?
