This document discusses innovations in continuing education and professional development using MOOCs and micro-credentials. It summarizes OCAPIAT's current projects including CAMP'NUM, an e-learning platform; DIAG'NUM, a digital maturity self-diagnosis tool; and partnerships with FUN MOOC to offer courses. It notes the sector faces challenges in skills development for a heterogeneous workforce. Going forward, more support is needed for companies in managing digital transformation, through educational design and cultural changes. Collaboration between operators could better support the employment and training field.

Skills challenges
■ Support our small and medium-sized companies in developing skills
(98% of companies with less than 50 employees).
■ Respond to the skills needs of our sectors by promoting skills
partnerships as with FUN MOOC and ANIA.
■ Support the digital transformation of our companies activities and
vocational training, support our training organizations and the
training offer, in order to meet the needs of the labor market.

Sector characteristics and evolving factors
■ Wide range of jobs from low to highly-
qualified
■ A very heterogeneous HR maturity
■ Various training offer but unequal
■ Low attractiveness
■ Difficulty to recruit
■ Business sectors in tension
■ A colossal market and the question of
efficiency
■ The need to respond to skills challenges
related to digital impacts.
■ A goal to make training more effective.
■ There is a paradigm shift: More important to
develop skills than to train
■ The challenge of the ability to learn and to
offer a multiple approach to skills development
■ Change of logic on learning
■ A plurality of teaching methods available
■ Reform of vocational training : the law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one's
professional future entered into force on January 1, 2019. It modifies the governance of the
training system and relations between actors.
■ OCAPIAT is legally limited in the use of its funds and therefore of its services (CAMP’NUM).

Last May the ANIA (main promoter of the project), OCAPIAT & its technical partner EVAVEO on
the CAMP'NUM platform, ALIMENTO (Belgium) & LVA (Austria) presented a virtual reality
training project for the food sector (VITUALITY) to the ERASMUS + funder.
The objective of this project is to create a 3D environment simulating the machines and
equipment of the food industry. VIRTUALITY will anticipate and prepare the environment linked
to professional training and the implementation of virtual reality. The product modules will feed
into the public space of the CAMP'NUM platform.

Ways forward
15. 15/12/2021 IAZAR - Innovation and Services Department for companies & workers 14
Ways forward
■ Services such as our e-learning platform were welcomed. Nevertheless,
figures are not as exponential as expected.
■ A fundamental need to support companies in managing change and their
digital transition ; precisely a need for support in the educational engineering
of classic and digital training.
■ It is necessary to surpass the knowledge of digital tools for more support
changes in uses and cultural transitions.
■ It is the mission of the OPCO to support such initiatives and perhaps to join
forces with its counterparts to support more broadly and with greater weight
the entire field of employment and training.
■ Advocate for a more flexible legal framework at the level of the OPCO and
extended to the European zone and microcredential framework.
■ Work with FUN MOOC on the GRADEO microcredential framework.
