32. Pre-engagement questionnaire
After your customer has confirmed and you’ve set a date for the workshop,
there are a few prerequisites to help ensure a successful engagement.
The pre-engagement questionnaire
The questionnaire and assessment are documents within Microsoft 365 Digital
Workforce Workshop materials. The pre-engagement questionnaire will help
gather the minimum information required to prepare workshop materials and
gain a better understanding of the customer’s situation and environment.
The questionnaire should be delivered to the customer either during or after
the Pre-Engagement Kick-Off meeting and should be completed by the
customer, several days in advance of the engagement. This can be done with
the customer during a meeting. Explain to the customer that it is not
necessary to provide all the information within the questionnaire and
delivering separate documents that contain the necessary information is
adequate, as long as the information is easy to locate and extract. In
particular, usage reports and diagrams are preferred to text descriptions or
lists, as they can be more easily utilized during the workshop.
33. Online Value Calculator?
Find the tool at https://aka.ms/ValueCalculator
The output of Online Value Calculator is used to build out the Transition to Cloud Cost Savings & Business
Value presentation in the Art of the Possible phase and one slide is required for the report and
recommendations in Build the Plan. Please review the Online Value Calculator user guide in the Workshop
Kit.
The Value Calculator uses real customer data to show the ROI that your customer can achieve with Microsoft
solutions across Modern Work, Security, Surface, Power Platform, Azure Sentinel and more!
Costs and benefits are based on third-party studies. The VC provides standard and custom calculations to help you
create a business case specific to your customer’s environment and needs.

45. Delivery completion
The Microsoft 365 Digital Workforce Workshop is completed
when you conduct the final presentation. This presentation should
be attended by the Business Sponsor and the key stakeholders,
with the following agenda:
• Review the project scope, goals, and discuss the workshop
output
• Present Report and Recommendations with customer
deployment framework and next steps
• Gather feedback about the how the engagement was
delivered and about this workshop
• Discuss next steps and other follow-up activities
• Have customer complete workshop survey
The Report and Recommendations presentation, as well as the
other deliverables, should be handed to the customer during this
presentation.
Any working session summaries should be provided within 1-2
days of completion of the engagement.
46. Recommended practices to prepare for all sessions
The order and structure of
the sessions are designed
to help you work through
the customer technology
issues in a logical order and
build upon preceding
modules.
The length of time it takes
to work through the
sessions may be variable
but maintaining the
prescribed order is
imperative.
During the session, make
sure to reference specific
scenarios that pertain to the
customer such as their
geographical regions, main
vertical or other items that
differentiate the company.
The customer will be further
engaged and interested in
the discussion if they feel it
specifically applies to them.
Emphasize discussions and
whiteboard diagramming
demonstrations to improve the
interaction with the customer to
understand any of their current
challenges.
Visuals and stories are a critical
piece of the Workshop. The
core portion of each
presentation can be used to
guide the conversation on a
specific topic. Experienced
presenters generally feel that
fewer slides and more
interaction with the audience
result in a higher-value
engagement.
To navigate quickly through a
deck, in presentation mode,
point to the bottom-left
corner of the screen and
right-click the third button
from the left. On the menu
that appears, point to “Go to
Slide” and click the slide to
which you want to navigate.
Each slide is represented by
the title of the slide. The slide
number in parentheses
indicates hidden slides.
The sessions will allow you
access to customer
stakeholders and technical
resources.
Make sure you utilize the
time to establish yourself
and your organization as
trusted advisors.

Microsoft 365
Customer Immersion Experience: Secure Work from Anywhere
Overview | Account team reference guide
What is a CIE?
This Microsoft Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) is a
facilitated, interactive event for senior level BDMs and ITDMs.
When you invite a commercial customer to participate in this
SWFA CIE, they are immersed in an authentic story about a
company that is faced with the new challenges of a long-term
remote workforce.
A professional Microsoft or partner facilitator plays the
role of a Chief Experience Officer tasked with overseeing a
company-wide employee outreach program. This will require
meetings, collaboration, community-building, creating surveys,
understanding data and analytics, security, device management,
and more. Through the guided and interactive experience, BDM
and IT participants come to understand how the right Microsoft
365 tools and technology will help them succeed in accomplishing
goals in their own organizations.
The value for customers
One thing most commercial organizations have in common is the
need to better engage their remote workforce. In this CIE, the
focus is on how customers can benefit from the core
Microsoft 365 experience where it relates to remote/hybrid
work.
Customer logistics
• Virtual, designed for between 3-20 BDMs.
• Each participant assumes a role in the fictional project.
• A two-hour+ online session with full desktop interactivity,
supported by a series of guided simulations to capture
select experiences
Customers to invite
The audience focus is on-premises and Office 365
customers.
Invite C-suite executives, and BDM/ITDM roles who
are either involved in managing remote workers or want to
better understand their challenges. IT and Security
professionals could also find value in attending this CIE.
