• Shop window of hospital.

4. DEFINITION
• Out patient department is defined as a section
of the hospital with allotted physical as well as
medical facilities, medical & other staff in
sufficient number, with regularly scheduled
hours, to provide care for patients who are not
registered as inpatients.

 Grouped together in the form of OPD
complex

to this area for OPD work

 outpatient care is provided in

to outpatients.
To treat patients on ambulatory basis or
domiciliary basis.
