1. “Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest
threats to global health today. It can affect
anyone, of any age, in any country” World Health
Organisation 2015
Antibiotics saved more than 200 million lives
Widespread resistance could mean these lives will be lost
Improper use of antibiotics is
causing:
The misdiagnosis of
disease
Unnecessary damage to
patients
And - resistance to
spread
To slow down the development of
antibiotic resistance, it is important
to use antibiotics in the right way –
to use the right drug, at the right
dose, at the right time, for the right
duration.
2. “To fight antibiotic resistance we need a
rapid, accurate, accessible diagnostic test”
We are going to raise £200,000 pounds
for the SWT Kidney Fund
to develop GramBacter® and run a trial
in patients.
Prof Bob Price has invented
“a rapid, accurate, accessible diagnostic test”
- GramBacter®
And we need your help !
