1. Sketching
20 Minute Sketches
Throughout my life and my college career I have always been inter-
ested in drawing and creating things by hand. This love for simple
drawings and sketches has further developed in college with the
learning of new techniques. I really enjoy producing draw-
ings such as these in between classes or for quick sections
for upcoming projects. I think
creating a quick section or el-
evation really helps illustrate to
a client how a space will visually
look from a vertical perspective.
Creating quick sketches can also
help employees in the office
understand the point that you
are trying to convey with them
in your design. Hand graphics
in black in white have become
my favorite type of rendering
in recent years. The quality and time put into the graph-
ics can be appreciated when you look at the drawing as
not only a project, but a piece of art. I still take pleasure
in sketching, but understand the way the profession is chang-
ing to become more computer oriented Here are a few examples
of some quick sketches that I have done that range in time from ten
minutes to twenty minutes.
