On Line Exchange (OLX) is an online classified site which act as a
platform for connecting buyers and sellers by posting a free ad on their website.
OLX(Online - Marketing) operates as a national online classifieds marketplace for used goods
including furniture, musical instruments, sporting goods, cars, youngster and baby items,
motorcycles, cameras, mobile phones, and property. It is accessible through the internet and
through native apps on smart phones .

The company was founded in March 2006 by Internet entrepreneurs Fabrice Grinda and A.C.F.
Oxenford. OLX is now owned by global media and digital company Naspers.
In 2014, tokobagus.com was acquired by OLX and was completed in May 20, 2014. In
November 14, 2014, berniaga.com was acquired by OLX and was completed in January 2015.
The most amazing thing about OLX is that it is absolutely free classified ads and you don’t have
to pay anything for posting ads or any membership charges. You have to pay only when you buy
something.

 It also pertains to “any form of business transaction in which the parties interact
electronically rather than by physical exchanges or direct physical contact.”
 E-commerce is usually associated with buying and selling over the Internet, or
conducting any transaction involving the transfer of ownership or rights to use goods or
services through a computer-mediated network.

Basically Olx is consumer to consumer model (C2C) where in there are many offerings made,
options and forums where individuals can buy and sell things through online payment systems
like paypal etc. It provides a platform where consumers interact with other consumer through
online options.

 Among various methods the method or channel of e-marketing used by OLx is
"Digital Marketing" . Digital Marketing could be defined as the means of
marketing using digital channels, devices and platforms regardless of whether
they are online or not. Digital marketing uses all the channels available in the
digital media to get information to customers, and it does not limit itself to the
Internet.

 Contribute to an increase in website traffic through media outreach
and multi-lingual blogger outreach and Twitter campaigns.
 They launched campaigns on behalf of OLX in English, Spanish,
Portuguese, European Portuguese and Polish.
 These campaigns included targeted blogger outreach, twitter management,
press release writing, and distribution to A-List tech bloggers.
 They contacted over 6,000 U.S. and international bloggers distributing a
tailored social media news release that included videos, explanation of
OLX, pictures, and contact information; all formatted to be easily copied
by bloggers and pasted into posts.
 For Twitter management, our multinational team was able to manage their
various profiles in native tongue to be most effective.
