The village of Bamanua struggles with many social, economic, and educational problems including dangerous exorcism practices. A group of students from Satya Bharti School organized a week-long awareness campaign to educate villagers about the dangers of exorcism. Their activities included rallies with slogans, distributing informational pamphlets, putting up posters, and organizing a medical camp with a government doctor. The campaign was successful in increasing awareness and the community formed a committee to continue efforts to address exorcism in the village.
1. The village Bamanua, which struggles every year with terrible flood problem, is very backward and poor due to having a number of social, economical, educational, superstitious ness (Exorcism-practice of occult arts) types of problems. Among them we selected the problem of Exorcism because quite often it becomes very dangerous for the lives of villagers.

3. @ To aware the people in limited time of one week, we decided to organize rallies, role plays, medical camps by using hand made posters, hand bills, banners and self prepared slogans. @ We decided to involve Govt. Doctors and their team in this campaign too. @ We also decided to involve each and every villager in our campaign. @ Women and children will be our main focus area.
4. # Rally was our first step, in which enthusiastic students of Satya Bharti spreading awareness through banners, hand outs and raising slogans like, “Andhvishwas hai abhishap, inse bach kar rahana aap”, “Ojha aur jogi, paida karte hain rogi” etc. # Students were distributing hand bills among the villagers during rally having the advises that what we should do and what not with the patient. # Sticking of hand made posters on the walls of village was our second step. Rally of students
5. Students played a very interesting and educative role play having a lot of fun among the villagers. The title of the role play was “Ojha Bhaga Gaon Se.” It was our third step.

7. # Certainly the above steps were very helpful to achieve our target of awareness, but the main task was to maintain its continuity. For it we formed a committee of villagers along with some students and teacher of Satya Bharti too. The committee will have to observe seriously these types of patients and their treatment. # For the continuity of this campaign the committee has taken an oath till the removal of this problem. # Dr. Verma has assured us that he will specially treat these types of patients of this village on every Monday & Saturday. He also assured us for his continuous cooperation in our campaign through his letter of thanks. # On our request, he promised to held a large camp in the village in coming December. # Along with above steps our team is full of zeal and enthusiasm because now in the village, no one wants to go to Ojhas for their treatment.
