A PARENTING GUIDE TO MAKE CHILDREN'S
DAILY ROUTINE BETTER DURING LOCKDOWN

Let’s face it. We’re living in unusual and unprecedented
times. The buzzwords for 2020 are ones that we didn’t even
know existed until a few weeks ago. Here are a few
examples: COVID, social isolation, lockdown, self-
quarantine, and self-quarantine! Habit provides us with a
sense of security and is an indication that life is proceeding
as it should. We are all accustomed to sticking to our daily
schedules, both children and adults. Work, fun, food, and
even rest are frequently scheduled in advance
As per the schools in Dehradun, The routine varies
throughout vacations, and it takes some time to establish a
new one before it becomes the new normal for a while.
With COVID-19 and the lockdown, staying at home has
become the new normal. Office workers are working from
home, going out is limited to only when absolutely
required for our own safety, and youngsters are
encouraged to spend as much time as possible indoors.

Even adults struggle with long periods of work-from-
home, so it’s logical that youngsters are perplexed by
the new situation. Here are a few suggestions to help
you shift gears and successfully transition into a new
habit for the coming weeks. The opportunity to go
outside and play is one of the things that youngsters
lose during this period of lockdown. How many times
have we heard our kids ask to go to the park to play
with their friends, run around in the playground, or
swing on the swings? Unfortunately, in the current
situation, we are unable to do so. However, this
should not prevent us from finding methods to
incorporate physical activity into the child’s daily
routine.

How to engage kids during Lockdown:
1) MAINTAIN YOUR FITNESS BY EXERCISING

laundry basket, matching socks, and collecting items from
another room.

games to help them develop logical thinking
skills. Word games like Pictionary, Ludo, and
Snakes, and Ladders may quickly turn adults
into toddlers.

for older children to read along with and enjoy.
Allow children to dress up and act out their

little dirty. Allow children to use finger-painting, vegetable

your grandparents that they will treasure for a lifetime! Non-
toxic paint, play dough, and slime are all excellent tactile
learning tools. This is also a fantastic opportunity for virtual
family bonding. Families are using video conversations to
socialize and share experiences with their extended family.

and storytelling sessions with grandparents.
