2. Our Initiative
In an effort to make access to medical marijuana
more safe in Laguna Beach, we are collecting
signatures for a ballot initiative that will be
presented to the City.

3. How will this help?
Once completed, the City Council will have the
choice to either adopt the ballot measure as a new
ordinance, or to put it on the ballot for an election.

4. If the City chooses to adopt the measure,
the new Ordinance will become effective and the
City will begin accepting applications for up to two
new medical cannabis collectives in the city.

5. If the City chooses to put the measure on
the ballot,
the measure will be put in the hands of the voters at
either a special election, or a general election,
depending on the number of valid signatures
gathered for the initiative.

6. How many signatures do we need?

● 2,406 for a special election

7. How long do we have to qualify?
The petition is due by February 14th
