We are a point of sale software consulting company helping entrepreneurs and business owners like yourself decide on the best software point of sale solution for  your  business, whether  you are starting a new business, or  you are an existing business wanting to change the way you operate.   The company got formed after we discovered that people need to be much more informed about the different point of sale solutions out there, what each one can and cannot do, and what they are actually buying.  A lot of people do not realize that they are forming a long term  relationship with the software vendor or dealer.  The software is only one part of  the purchase.   2
3 How Could POS Software Help You?  Accurate tracking and reporting of inventory.  At any given moment you can get a snapshot of your on hand inventory, thereby gauging if you are overstocked, under stocked, or operating with the correct inventory levels. 1 Eliminate pricing errors, control the correct margins and be in control of markdowns and all price points. 2 Improved customer service by having faster turnover at the register and giving that professional shopping experience to the customers. 3 Keep track of customers and their spending habits.  That will enable you to send targeted mailers to a specific demographic of your clientele. 4
4 Common mistakes when choosing a POS System Buying hardware before buying software : By buying the hardware first, you are limiting yourself drastically with the software options. Certain software will only work with certain hardware, so do not limited yourself like this; be patient and get the software first. Not getting a demo from a salesperson: Seeing the software in action, getting a picture of what the screens will look like and getting a general feel for the software is critical.  Make sure you sit with a salesperson that can show you the ins and outs of the software;  downloading a demo yourself and playing with the software yourself is not good enough.
5 Common mistakes when choosing a POS System Not doing enough research on the supporting company : When you buy the software, make sure that you know who will support the software after the sale.  You might be buying the software from company A, only to discover company B will be supporting you. Not getting all the costs involved with the purchase: The software and hardware might not be your only expenses.  Make sure about annual contracts and technical support rates up front.  You don’t want a nasty surprise after  buying the software relating to additional costs that needs to be paid.
6 Common mistakes when choosing a POS System Passing the buck : As owner of the company, you must be involved in this decision making process from the start. Do not delegate the selection of a POS system to an employee.  You know what you want and need from the software.    Choosing the cheapest software option: We all heard it before; “You get what you pay for.” That saying is very true when it comes to POS systems.  I am not saying that those system are not any good, but they are limited as to what they can accomplish.  Do not expect to soar like an eagle if you have wings like a turkey.
