(English version below)
Le blianta beaga anuas tá líon nach beag forbairtí cónaithe le hainmneacha Gaeilge i cuid mhór d'Éirinn.
Ghlac comhairleoirí Chathair na Gaillimhe le rún go luath sna nóchaidí go n-ainmeofaí gach forbairt chónaithe as Gaeilge amháin as sin amach chun an dátheangeachas a neartú sa chathair. Tá coiste ainmnithe ag an gcomhairle freisin.
Bígí i dteagmháil leis do pholaiteoirí áitiúla chun a chur in iúl dóibh coistí ainmnithe a chur ar bun muna bhfuil coiste agaibh cheana féin.
There are between a significant and a relatively large number of new residential developments being named in Irish today in a lot of the Republic of Ireland and going back for the last few years.
In the early 90's Galway City councillors passed a motion that in order to help foster a strong bilingual city that all future new residential developments would be named solely in Irish. The council also has a naming committee.
Be in touch with your local politicians to bring naming committees in place in your county if you haven't got one/them.
Le dea-mhéin,
