ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I (personally) provided 24/7 foster care to a disabled Saudi Arabian child with microcephaly, seizures, multiple
sclerosis, KCS/Kenny-Caffe Syndrome and FMF/Familial Mediterranean Fever. I provided ongoing physical
therapy support, and nutritional support to help minimize seizures and enhance myelinization within the
child's brain. In order to address gross developmental delays, I designed and developed various therapeutic
interventions to support brain and motor development through resource rich environment environments and
situations designed to stimulate the use of eyes and ears, to aid in the development of gross motor functions,
and encourage the development of thought processes such as cause and effect, and basic problem solving.
In addition, I helped the parents with research in an attempt to find answers and help in obtaining treatment
for the child's medical needs. Through an ongoing relationship and discussions, I assisted this Arabic family
in providing information to others and in understanding information which was being provided to them while
they were studying at the local university.
