A combination of bespoke Sunline
radiant ceiling panels and Matrix
radiators from MHS has been
installed at West Bridgford Library in
Nottingham. The recently renovated
building has benefited from a
modern, two-storey extension to the
rear of its existing front façade, as
well as a new Young People's Centre
and a Registrar’s Office, all as part of
a £5.3m redevelopment project.
41 radiators from MHS have
been installed at Hurlingham &
Chelsea Secondary School in
London. 38 Matrix Horizontal,
Vertical and Convector radiators,
as well as three Slimguard LST
models were fitted by Neilcott
Construction, as part of a state-
of-the-art refurbishment of the
building, which is located in the
south of Fulham. The radiators

Products in action
Over 230 Ionic cast iron radiators from
MHS have been installed as part of the
refurbishment of Wakefield Town Hall, West
Yorkshire. The historic Victorian building is
Grade I listed by English Heritage, which
meant some radiators have had heat
shields and extended brackets fitted to
protect the oak panelling on the walls. MHS
Chartwell valves were also used as part of
the installation.

Over 800 Kompakt Panel and Aeroguard
radiators from MHS have been installed at the
newly constructed R4 (Rubicon Court) and R5
buildings in central London. The new tower
blocks will provide private accommodation,
along with social housing as part of the Kings

170 Safeguard FD and Slimguard
LST from MHS have been installed
at St Joseph’s Convent and
Residential Care Home in
Littlehampton, Sussex. The low
surface temperature radiators
were supplied as part of the
replacement of a 1960s heating
system, which had reached the
end of its maintainable life. None
of the original heat emitters were
LST type, which meant they were
not suitable for use in the building.
19 cast iron Ionic radiators from
MHS have been installed at
Bentley Priory in Stanmore,
Middlesex. The products were
fitted as part of a conversion of
the historic 18th century
mansion house and its
adjoining buildings, into a

Kompakt
Overview
The Kompakt radiator is made from 1.15mm
steel and finished in RAL 9016 Traffic White
only. Supplied complete with wall brackets,
plug and air vent, side panels and top grille as
standard, the Kompakt radiator has a 10 bar
maximum working pressure (13 bar test
pressure) with 4 x ½” bsp-f connections. The
MHS Kompakt carries a 10-year guarantee
against manufacturing defects.

The advantages of
6 tapping radiators
Floor fixing
This allows each
radiator to be
completely
freestanding and
floor mounted
with no wall ties,
providing a solid
and secure
foundation.
Fast and flexible fit
Having 6 connection points as standard provides
easy installation and flexibility in terms of TRV
location, which is particularly beneficial in new builds
or retrofit projects. These connections allow for
pipework installation and finishing at first fix, long
before radiator size actually needs to be determined,
saving on time and labour.
Central connections also enable radiators to be
mounted quickly and easily at second fix, while their
location is not dependent on their length; this means
pipes can be laid (centrally in front of a window, for
example) without the need for preplanning the size
or style of a radiator from the range. This added
flexibility allows the radiators to be used in new
builds and retrofit projects, while allowing for any
investment in building materials to be spread
between first and second fix.
All 6 tapping radiators from MHS are available in
horizontal orientations. Horizontal models have two
½" bsp outward connections on each side plus two
¾" male (euro cone) downward facing central
connections on the bottom. These euro cone
connections are factory pre-sealed with metal caps.
All 6 tapping radiators from MHS are fully
compliant with the requirements of Criterion 16 of
the Lifetime Homes Standard, while still providing
regulated levels of warmth and maintaining a
stylish appearance.
Constructed from 1.15mm steel (Planatherm
2mm), these radiators are strong, robust and
powder-coated in RAL 9016. There are factory-
fitted side panels and top grilles on all models,
leaving a clean and smooth finish.

Left or right side TRV position
The TRV head on all 6 tapping radiators can be mounted
on either the left or right side, thanks to the innovative
bracketing system used (on all models except Type 11).
Kompakt Plan and Kompakt Line radiators are available
with TRV head on the right side only.
Paint finish
All radiators are cleaned and pre-treated prior to primer
coating, before being powder-coated in RAL 9016
Traffic White.
Compatibility
6 tapping radiators are compatible with: Gas, oil and
electric boilers, ground source and air source heat
pumps and biomass.
Simple to install - pre-plumbed
All radiators are delivered ready for mounting, and
include pre-assembled TRV valve inserts for quick and
simple installation. All products are supplied as complete
packages, including all the necessary mounting brackets,
blind plug, radiator drain and deaerator.

Fully compliant with Criterion 16 of the
Lifetime Homes Standard
This requirement, in accordance with Document M,
2004 (Part M) stipulates that switches, socket outlets
and other equipment in habitable rooms are installed at
appropriate heights between 450mm and 1,200mm
from finished floor level. Any 'service controls' (such as
TRVs) should also be at least 300mm from any internal
room corner. This eliminates any need for reaching or
bending down to adjust the settings, and ensures
controls remain easily within the reach of wheelchair
users and the elderly.

BS EN 442. Every radiator carries the CE mark which
certifies independent
approval of heat output
and verifies production
under a quality system to
BS EN ISO 9001.
Each 6 tapping radiator is available with a Declaration
of Performance (DoP) via www.mhsradiators.co.uk and
carry a 10-year warranty against defects caused by
faulty materials or manufacture.

Centric Kompakt
Overview
The Centric Kompakt radiator is
manufactured from 1.15mm steel and
available in powder coat RAL 9016 Traffic
White finish only. Radiators are supplied
complete with side panels, top grille, wall
brackets, plugs and air vent (TRV insert
included with all horizontal models). Floor
brackets are available at additional cost for
all horizontal models (excluding the Type 11).
The Centric Kompakt has a maximum
working pressure of 10 bar (max test 13 bar).
There are 4 x ½" bsp-f connections complete
with integrated pre-plumbing to install
underside, with Variocon valve ¾” euro cone
connections on the horizontal models only

Planatherm
Overview
The Planatherm is made from steel with a flat 2.00mm
front waterway panel and 1.10mm thick rear panel, as
well as fitted side panels and linea top grille, plus
valve body insert, secure fit wall mounting brackets
and 8 connections. Finished in fine textured RAL 9016
Traffic White, the Planatherm radiator has a maximum
working pressure of 6 bar (max test pressure 7.8 bar)
and carries a 10-year guarantee against
manufacturing defects.

Monoplan Horizontal
Overview
The Monoplan Horizontal Standard Range is made

as standard, with other RAL colours available at
additional cost. It has a 6 bar maximum working
pressure (mwp) tested to 7.8 bar, while a high
pressure version (10 bar mwp 13 bar test) is also
available at additional cost. The Monoplan radiator
has ½” bsp-f connections, with horizontal (BBOE
B1D1 detail) as standard unless otherwise specified.
Alternative configurations are also available; these
must be specified with each order.
The Monoplan Comfort is available for the Horizontal range
for DR to TK3 models. With a top grille and welded on side
panels making the radiator flat to all surfaces, the
Monoplan Comfort is made from steel and finished in RAL
9016 Traffic White as standard, with other RAL colours
available at additional cost. It has a 6 bar maximum working
pressure (mwp) tested to 7.8 bar, while a high pressure
version (10 bar mwp, 13 bar test) is also available at
additional cost. The Monoplan Comfort has ½” bsp-f BBOE
B1D1 detail as standard unless shown otherwise.

with wall brackets, this radiator has a 5.4 bar maximum
working pressure (mwp) (tested to 7 bar) as standard. A high
pressure, 2mm steel version is also available with 10 bar

Matrix Vertical
Overview
The Matrix Vertical is made from 1.5mm steel and
finished in RAL 9010 Warm White as standard, while
RAL 9016 Traffic White is available on request at no
extra cost. Other RAL colours are available at
additional cost. Supplied with wall brackets, this
radiator has a 5.4 bar maximum working pressure
(mwp) (tested to 7 bar) as standard. A high pressure,
2mm steel version with 10 bar mwp (13 bar test) is

There are 2 x ½" bsp (BBOE 2 and 4 detail)
connections as standard unless otherwise specified;
alternative configurations are also available (some

Ecoguard LST Casings
Overview
The Ecoguard case is made from 1.2mm steel,
enclosing a MHS Kompakt radiator made from
1.15mm steel. Finished in RAL 9016 Traffic White
only, it has a maximum working pressure of 10
bar and is supplied with ½" bsp-f connections.
The MHS Kompakt carries a 10-year guarantee
against manufacturing defects and the Ecoguard
case carries a 5-year guarantee against

Aeroguard casings are supplied assembled for easy on site
installation. Supplied in a durable anti-bacterial polyester
powder coated finish (RAL9016 Traffic White semi-gloss).
The end casings and front panel are manufactured using
1.2mm zinc coated steel. The front panel is made up of a
number of individual sections spot welded together on
their return edges to create a very robust panel.
In addition, a heavier and more robust interlocking 2mm
gauge front casing panel is available in accordance with
Mental Health Care Unit specifications.

Aeroguard - Vertical
Overview
The Aeroguard Vertical case is made from 1.2mm
steel and finished in RAL 9016 Traffic White. It
encases a MHS Kompakt Vertical radiator made
from 1.15mm steel, with a 10 bar maximum
working pressure (13 bar test pressure).
Supplied with ½" bsp-f connections, the MHS
Kompakt Vertical radiator carries a 10-year
guarantee against manufacturing defects, while
the Aeroguard Vertical case has a 5-year
guarantee.

VK3: The VK3 valve kit is an internal
control and comprises 1
/2" angle
pattern presettable valve body, remote
sensing phial and TRV head, plus a 1

angle lockshield valve on the return

and security locks as standard. All units have
a washable G2 (EU2 Filter), as well as

Moduline Lightweight
Radiant Panels- Overview
Moduline radiant panels are designed for a wide
range of applications, including hospitals, school
classrooms, assembly halls, residential care homes
and offices.
Type MCG - panels can be fitted into a suspended
ceiling system with 600mm grid, positioned in
place of tiles.
Type MCS - panels can be fixed directly onto the
underside of a ceiling slab or soffit.
Type MWS - panels can be mounted vertically onto
a wall surface, resulting in higher heat outputs.
Type MFS - panels include hanging brackets for
suspension on drop rods or wire (by others), from
secondary steelwork, to enable installation at
lower heights.

Decoral & Decoral Hi
Overview
The aluminium Decoral is finished in RAL 9016
Traffic White and can operate up to 6 bar maximum
working pressure (tested to 8 bar). Radiators are
supplied complete with wall brackets and ½” bsp-f
connections. The Decoral carries a 10-year
Decoral Electric only models are supplied factory
filled and tested, with the electric element fitted to
the right hand side, unless specified otherwise.
The POL1 element and IP54 elements carry a 2-year
guarantee against manufacturing defects. Please
note, the electric model also requires a 240V single
phase connection.

Tulipa
Overview
The Tulipa is made from 1.5mm steel and produced in
RAL 9016 Traffic White as standard, with other finishes
available at additional cost. This radiator has a 4 bar
maximum working pressure (mwp) (tested to 5.2 bar)
as standard, while a high pressure test (HPT) model
with 10 bar mwp (tested to 13 bar) is also available at
additional cost. All Tulipa radiators are supplied
complete with wall brackets. There are 2 x ½" bsp-f
downward facing connections (detail 1 and 8) for
most models, excluding the 6 and 8 section radiators,
which have side connections 2 and 7 as standard
unless otherwise specified. The Tulipa radiator carries

Ionic
Overview
The Ionic is a cast iron radiator supplied in Umber Grey
Primer as standard that requires over painting, with
painted finishes available at additional cost. The Ionic
radiator has a maximum working pressure of 6 bar with a
maximum test pressure of 7.8 bar (water test only).
Integral feet and wall ties are supplied as standard, while
a wall mounted version can also be specified at no
additional cost. All radiators are supplied with ½” bsp-f
(BBOE) connections, ¾”or 1” connections, while TBOE or
TBSE connections are also available (to be specified at
time of order). The Ionic radiator carries a 10-year

Ionic Electric only models are supplied factory filled and
tested, with the electric element fitted to the right hand
side, unless otherwise specified. The white POL1
element is adjustable and IP54 rated, with a 2-year
guarantee against manufacturing defects. Please note, a
