To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to you to confirm Damon Stevens’ employment with the In2Uni program at the
University of Wollongong (UOW). Damon has been employed with UOW’s Schools Outreach and
Pathways unit, in the capacity of ‘In2Uni Mentor’, since January 2015.
The In2Uni program is a partnership between the University of Wollongong, Department of
Education (DoE NSW) and Catholic Education Office (CEO) to enhance aspirations of selected
primary and secondary schools within our communities. The University of Wollongong's In2Uni
program aims to build aspirations for higher education and beyond by allowing students to explore
possibilities and opportunities at University. In his role as an In2Uni Mentor, Damon engages
students from Year 6 to Year 12, delivering whole class mentoring programs, assisting with onsite
events and leading subject-specific tutoring groups for senior high school students.
Throughout the program Damon continually exhibits professionalism and enthusiasm, and is
committed to making the program a positive experience for all students. He continues to
demonstrate a mature attitude throughout the program, and has actively taken on a mentoring role
for newer members of our team as well. Damon is a dynamic employee who readily implements
any feedback that is given to him. He demonstrates strong team work and communication skills and
works well with his peers and teaching staff alike.
Since commencing in the role of In2Uni Mentor, Damon has been an active member of the team
and has delivered many programs with great success. His commitment to the program, as well as
his ability to work well in both a team environment and individually, demonstrates his great
potential for the future.
I have no hesitation in recommending Damon as an enthusiastic, dedicated and adaptable worker,
and I wish him luck in all of his future endeavours.
Kind regards,
Sally Purdy
In2Uni Program Coordinator
