Sandra Lizeth lives with her parents and two younger siblings. Her mother takes care of the home and her father is a
gardener. She has a weekend job at a hotel in Colima.
Sandra enjoys learning in general and loved her first year in the bio-chemistry program at the University of Colima.
She is fascinated with the ways in which diseases and illnesses can be detected and treated at the chemical level. When she
starts something, she is committed to seeing it through, and Sandra is dedicated to finishing her professional training and
having a career.
Sandra Lizeth is responsible for maintaining a GPA higher than 8.5, performing 10 hours of community service a
month, attending weekly homework club, and writing to sponsors regularly.

Noemi “Mimi” lives with her mother and 3 older siblings in Suchitlan. Her mother works making tortillas and her
father has passed away. Noemi works at a store on the weekends.
Mimi is in her third year in the Law program at the University of Colima. Of Project Amigo she says, “It has become a
very important part of my life. The moments I have spent in the program do not compare with anything else. I have met
incredible people, from my fellow students to the staff; I have learned from them all.”
Mimi describes herself as friendly, helpful, a good listener and sincere. She looks forward to a career as a lawyer.
Noemi is responsible for maintaining a GPA higher than 8.5, performing 10 hours of community service a month,
