I am an anthropologist specializing on sustainable water resources management through the application of cultural values or "ethics" for short. I work both locally (New Mexico) and internationally (Asia, Africa) as a consultant and director of the Water-Culture Institute. Most of my professional work has related to rural development and local participation in irrigation and watershed management. More recently I've broadened to look at policies relating to water and water ecosystems, as well as agriculture and, of course, "culture" and particularly indigenous cultures which have much to teach us.
