This document summarizes a hygiene education program conducted by students at the Anandarasu Aided Middle School in Tamil Nadu, India. The students surveyed their peers and found that 81% lacked toilets at home. They educated students on proper toilet use, handwashing, and defecating in pits when necessary. The students then shared this knowledge with their families and community. As a result, the students improved their hygiene habits and the organizers hope to create more hygienic surroundings across India through this student-led education initiative.
