1. Reflection Paper
My time at undergraduate studies at Argosy University has been very fulfilling. There may have
been a few hiccups along the way, but being able to interact with the professors one on one made me
very happy to be there. I loved all of my professors; they we all very compassionate, understanding,
knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to my needs. I felt that they made everything worth the
while. I feel that one of my strengths is that I am good at expressing myself in writing. I feel that I am
what people call “book smart”. I can learn anything pretty quick as long as I am interested in the topic.
I get along very well with my colleagues and try to help them help them whenever I can. I think that I
am good at thinking ethically and being able to empathize with people; I try to see all sides of the story
before reacting.
I am not a very strong speaker among groups, but I am making lots of progress. I say at least
say one thing in each class conversation. I am working on not having such a shy personality, and I think
that I will be able to over come this weakness. Professionally, I do not think that I will have any
problems. I would only have problems with adults, but I do not plan on working with adults; I just
want to work with children and adolescents. Another weakness that bothers me is that I can be
emotionally sensitive. I also feel that in this area that I am getting better at handling certain situations
as I get older. I am still young so I have a lot to learn.
Now that I am ending my undergraduate studies I still feel as though I do not know very much,
but I want to learn so much more, because when I realize that I have learned some of the material of at
least the concept of it, I take pride in it and it makes me want to learn even more in my counseling
education. I feel that the best is yet to come in my education. I only know a little, but I want to learn as
much as possible to become one of the best in my future counseling profession. This is why I believe
that my educational journey is not over and it still has a long way to go. I look forward to it because I
know I will have great pride and happiness when my knowledge in counseling is able to help others,
