Main Entrance
• Concrete works continue
• Formwork and rebar installation continues
• Waterproofing is ongoing
Station Box
• Waterproofing is in progress
• Segment removal and excavation is in progress
Secondary
Entrance
• Hauling soil and tunnel segments is in progress
• Drilling of tiebacks is ongoing
Surface Level
• Traffic change implemented on January 22, 2020, will be in
place through to fall 2020.

Leaside Station: Look Ahead
Year What to Expect
2020
• Deep excavation, hauling, concrete works and material
deliveries will continue on the surface through 2020
• Extended construction hours will continue through 2020
• Main and secondary entrance sites will continue to be the
main access points for the deep excavation underneath
Eglinton Avenue
• Periodic additional lane closures may be required to facilitate
deliveries, dewatering and concrete works
• Permanent works have commenced at the main entrance and
will continue into late 2020, including waterproofing,
formwork, rebar installation and concrete works

• Progression of final
excavation of the station box

staging.

• Lanes have been restored.
• A small work zone will remain at
the emergency exit building on
the boulevard through 2020.
• The emergency exit building will
be permanently in place on the
boulevard.

Year What to Expect
2020
• Permanent works will continue:
• Waterproofing, form and rebar and concrete works will occur
inside of the completed cavern
• During the concrete works, there will be continuous delivery of
concrete to the surface sites, lane restrictions may be required
• Utility and road restoration to begin mid-2020
• Overnight works will continue through to summer 2020
