• JACK OF ALL TRADES– ISTJs like knowledge; they pick up new information easily and like to
apply it to work/situations

• JUDGMENTAL – don’t like people who ignore facts or remain willfully ignorant
• INSENSITIVE – unintentionally hurt people’s feelings by bring brutally honest; very to the point
and don’t take emotions into consideration
• STUBBORN – ISTJs like facts and don’t appreciate new ideas that aren’t supported by facts; it’s
difficult for them to accept they were wrong

• Give them work that others may not want – they can take on any project with instructions!
• They don’t like to give up projects even if they are swamped.
• An ISTJ will probably be your most productive personality type
• Be sure you give clear deadlines and any rules they follow before hand.
• Let them work alone; group brainstorming usually makes them uncomfortable and it can
disrupt their work process.

8. HAVING AN ISTJ SUPERVISOR
• They will expect you to have the same dedication they do; let them know if you are
overwhelmed before the deadline.
• It is better to be bluntly truthful than to skirt around an issue.
• If you have a difference of opinion, be sure to back it up with facts.
