I used this project to portray my excitement for the upcoming events
in my life!
The process of creating my magazine cover went as followed:
1. First I sketched out on paper some possible layouts of the maga-
zine cover.
magazine-cover-sketches
2. Next I created a shape map in InDesign of one of my sketches.
magazine-cover-shape-map
3. I then searched out a photo that I wanted to use as my self-portrait.
4. I opened the image in Photoshop and overlayed the text in front of
my fiance’s head and behind my own.
5. Next I opened up InDesign and created a new 8.5 x 11 inch page.
6. I then placed in my PSD document.
7. I then fit my image to the page.
8. I then proceeded to add text boxes with all the different articles I
wanted to include.
9. Once I was finished, I saved the InDesign file and then exported a
JPEG at 150 ppi.

Use layers an adjustment layers to coordinate colors and design.
1. I decided what color scheme I was going to use. I wanted to
incorporate a few rich colors and there was a beautiful sunset the
day I snapped the photo.
2. I edited the photograph to shape the details and sharpen the
color scheme: I increased the levels and the vibrance. I very slightly
increased the saturation. I also added a little more blue to the pho-
to and added some sharpness over the sun.
3. I created a new 8.5 x 11 inch document in Photoshop.
4. Then I pulled my photo on top of it and started designing.
5. I added my background shapes and my phrase then began to
put in more design elements making sure to incorporate the design
principles.

Blend two or more photographs to create visual flow throughout the
piece using layer masks and filters.
1.I first found a quote that I liked from a General Conference talk.
2. I then found some images from unsplash.com that I felt were
appropriate to visualize the quote. 3.In Photoshop I combined
all the various pictures I used to create the montage effect. I used a
variety of layer masks and the brush tool to create the gradual blend-
ed effect.
4. I made sure to abide by the design principles such as alignment,
repetition, and flow.

them including some artistic element and text.
6. I got a lot of votes from my facebook friends and this was
extremely helpful in choosing the design.
7. I chose the most popular logo and then created my letterhead
and business card.

also worked for unity and to keep my color scheme in
coordination.

Create a webpage layout to promote our logo and comapny.
1. First I resized my original logo from the business identity project
earlier in the semester to be between 300-500pixels.
2. I then saved it as a png.
3. I then created my html file and began moving things aroung and
creating my content and tags.
4. Then I created my CSS file and linked it to my HTML file so I could
begin customizing my webpage.
5. I made changes to the CSS file to create a design of the webpage
that I thought went well with my logo.
6. Once I was pleased with my design I validated my HTML.
7. Finally I validated my CSS file and completed the project.
