Bring to life the idea of “Inspire the Future’’
• Step 1:
• Designing a based on one of the two given themes
of Contest i.e. Organic and Digital. The design
should be made keeping in view the full-size of a
laminate i.e. 4ft x 8ft

futuristic – sharp and crisp lines,
metallic or neon colours, and
high-tech elements such as 3D
and pixels etc

• Apply the laminate design to any piece of
furniture/space of your choice in order to make
sure its realistically applicable

Register & upload images of both the laminate and
furniture as well as the appropriate 3D files on

15. Post Submission closes
• The shortlisted designs will be uploaded on the website.
• The top 5 Winners will be selected by voting and a panel
of judges
• The top 5 winners will awarded with the Best Design Award
2015 and a cash prize of SGD$5000
• These 5 designs will be featured and credited in
Greenlam’s 2016 catalogue, which will be viewed by
industry professionals across the globe
• The winning designs will also be featured in Greenlam’s
end-year coffee table book, “Inspire the Future – A Story of
New Inspirations”
How will this work?
16. Eligibility
• Open to all poly ,diploma, degree students from the Design
Stream
• It is the responsibility of the entrant to have all the
intellectual property rights to the submitted design.
• A design can be developed by a single student or a pair of
students.
• Each participant/pair can submit a maximum of 3 entries.
• All entry forms must be completed online at
www.greenlam.com.sg/inspirethefuture.
Who is eligible?
17. • Laminate designs must be create in the final size of 4x8ft and should
be up to scale
• Laminate design and application design must be submitted in the
presentation board format of A2 size and to be submitted as soft
copies only.
• Presentation board must have 3D perspectives of the application
design.
• Presentation boards must be designed in vertical layout format.
• Every design must have a inspiration story, which should not be more
than 500 words
• All designs should be saved in jpeg format with 300dpi resolution
• All submissions should include the participant's profile and his/her
educational institution's name on the presentation board
Submission Requirements
18. The winning entries will be selected by professionals
in the creative and design industry.
The selection will be weighted as follows:
Relevance to theme: 20%
Laminate design: 40%
Furniture application design: 20%
Online public voting: 20%
How is it judged?
20. Competition duration: 1 December – 25 December 2015
Judging and Voting Period: 28 December – 28 January 2016
Winner Announcement: 1 February 2016
