have the responsibility of business entity registration and non-
profit corporation registration functions in their jurisdictions.
The membership is taking the lead in developing new
technologies affecting the program areas of BOS including e-
government solutions.
The BOS works closely with other organizations with common

responsibility for the personal property transaction registry
functions in their jurisdiction. The section’s major efforts are
focused on the standardization of information requirements and
the search results in secured transaction registries in order to
give financers greater confidence in lending.
STS played a significant role in shaping provisions in the
revisions of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code while
being instrumental in the development and implementation of
electronic filing of financing statements pursuant to international
standards, lending innovation in the development of e-
government solutions in these areas and developing model
forms and administrative rules for secured transaction registry
functions.
The members of the section work closely with the National
Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the
Permanent Editorial Board for the Uniform Commercial Code to
promote positive changes in, or highlight issues within, the UCC.

technology solutions in IACA’s focus areas.

professionals to the annual IACA Conference by presenting rich
and relevant session content.
