What Kind of Media Institution
might Distribution your media
product and why?
By Danielle George.
Our Production company is
called DIG Productions. The
types of films the produce
are in the genre of
Romance, Drama and Teen
movies. They Produce ‘indie’
films for a small target
audience of 15-25.
Our Opening Sequence ‘Absence’ is a Romantic
Drama, because of this we need a Distributor
that promotes this. This helps us in a way
because they will no what there doing and how
to market our product properly.
Example of what we
could use…
Focus features is a good example of what we
could use for our distributor. I think this is a
good choice because its not only a producer but
it is also a distributor.
Films They have Produced/ Distributed
Focus Features have produced many Romantic
dramas including One Day and Brokeback
Mountain. Focus' most successful release in
North America to date is Brokeback Mountain
(2005), which earned $83,043,761 at the North
American box office. They have had very
successful results with there romantic dramas
which is good for when we distribute of film.

  • 1. What Kind of Media Institution might Distribution your media product and why? By Danielle George.
  • 2. Our Production company is called DIG Productions. The types of films the produce are in the genre of Romance, Drama and Teen movies. They Produce ‘indie’ films for a small target audience of 15-25.
  • 3. Our Opening Sequence ‘Absence’ is a Romantic Drama, because of this we need a Distributor that promotes this. This helps us in a way because they will no what there doing and how to market our product properly.

  • 5. Focus features is a good example of what we could use for our distributor. I think this is a good choice because its not only a producer but it is also a distributor.

  • 7. Focus Features have produced many Romantic dramas including One Day and Brokeback Mountain. Focus' most successful release in North America to date is Brokeback Mountain (2005), which earned $83,043,761 at the North American box office. They have had very successful results with there romantic dramas which is good for when we distribute of film.
