The transitions are also important I think. I

the button and the film starting.

DVD need a set good graphics like for

Movement in a DVD menu gives the
viewer a bit of a WOW factor and it also
prepares the viewer with the pace of
the movie.

The Visual Effects are there to give
that extra WOW factor to entertain

Typography is kinder important because after all the
visual effects and themes and colour combination you
still need a good font you can’t just have the plain text
because you are expected to provide a good text that
looks good and is readable to the viewer.

good graphic, good animation, great film cuts
and a fantastic visual effects.
The Iron Man DVD is one of the4 best out there in the film industry. What the makers of Iron man have managed to do is combine there great talent of visual effects and animation. The animation in the Iron Man menu is amazing, they made like you where on Tony Starks computer or you are his artificial intelligence (JARVIS) what I mean by that is that you can see through the suit and see the technology in it and when they show a character you can see that they job was in the film like for example when it showed Obadiah Stane it showed the his iron man suit and its technology.
Sin City’s DVD menu true defines what a great DVD menu really is. Sin City menu I think has the best combination of cartoon and film scenes and the transition between them. As the DVD menu is part cartoon the typography will be in cartoon writing which give it the little bit extra presentation.
The Italian Job DVD menu give that feel that you a part of the team because they made the menu look like the plan and schematics of the heist the they are going to do. They really have used some great animation and visual effects in the making of the DVD menu.
In the Transformers they really have pulled out all the stops to make a great DVD menu. They use fantastic animation and great visual effects to make a truly great DVD menu.
