PROPOSAL
Have your full grant done 2-4 days early
Proofread the document yourself
Have someone you trust proofread the document
Check all documents/attachments/forms
Get final organizational approval
Submit grant
Make sure you have the proper log
in/person/authority for submission!

• Payment Management System – Are you
drawing down your funds?
➢Make sure the money is flowing to
you.
• Have you tracked how you spent your
funds?
• Are you submitting your FFR Reports?

10. FEDERAL GRANTS - NOTICE OF AWARD
• Review the amount
• Review any ‘conditions’ on the back
pages
• Look at the submitted budget
• Review with your Finance Department

11. PAYMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
• Check the PMS System
• Look at the funds available
• Review your own spreadsheet for grant
expenditures and draw downs
• Determine if you have funds left

12. If you have
funding
left...
• Spend your money!
• Just spend it by the end of the grant
period!
• Do NOT request a no-cost extension
• Extra paperwork
• More Federal requests
