Going digital is the new mantra
we hear everywhere and it has
not spared the learning and
training domain.
While some organizations have
already embraced digital
technologies in the form of online
learning or e-learning for
corporate training, many
organizations are yet to make a
start.
Why should you consider digital
learning in your organization?
 Provide employees the access to train at their convenience
and pace
 Offer training through multiple devices and formats
 Build a repository of digital training resources that can be
mixed and matched to suit different training situations
 Scale up training to a much larger section of employees
instead of a selected few and so that you can track and

Management System (LMS).
An LMS helps not only to administer,

reporting, and delivering online

knowledge retention.

Videos are very versatile as they can be used during
classroom training, as part of e-learning, or as
independent learning nuggets, addressing a single
learning objective.
Podcasts
Podcasts are audio files that can be used to provide quick reminders, checklists,
or messages from CEOs.
Webinars
Webinars are seminars delivered online by a subject matter expert or training
manager.
Digital Manuals and Resources (E-books)
Traditionally, employees were given a physical training manual at the end of a
training program.
However, very often the physical manual is lost in the office clutter.
Also, it is not possible to access this when the need presents itself unexpectedly.
Therefore, having these documents in an easily accessible, digital format is ideal.

  • 3. Going digital is the new mantra we hear everywhere and it has not spared the learning and training domain. While some organizations have already embraced digital technologies in the form of online learning or e-learning for corporate training, many organizations are yet to make a start.
  • 4. Why should you consider digital learning in your organization?
  • 5.  Provide employees the access to train at their convenience and pace  Offer training through multiple devices and formats  Build a repository of digital training resources that can be mixed and matched to suit different training situations  Scale up training to a much larger section of employees instead of a selected few and so that you can track and monitor them on an individual basis
  • 6. In order to start digital learning or digital training in your organization, you need to be ready with… What do you need to get started with digital learning?
  • 7. Digital training will obviously go along with your existing training methods. Therefore, you need to have a strategy in place to ensure your training efforts are not duplicated needlessly, and all training delivery formats are in sync and work in harmony with each other.   • 8. Once you have decided to go digital for your training, you need to develop content for digital learning. Digital content can be in the form of E-learning courses, Videos, Mobile learning modules, Podcasts, Webinars, and so on. Digital Learning Content
  • 9. Once you have your content ready, you will need a platform to host the content. Ideally, you should have a Learning Management System (LMS). An LMS helps not only to administer, and document training, it also provides invaluable service in terms of tracking, reporting, and delivering online learning.   • 12. E-learning courses consist of interactive learning modules that are created with a well thought instructional strategy that achieves the intended learning outcomes. E-learning Modules
  • 13. E-assessments E-assessments or online assessments are a convenient way to test the knowledge or skills of learners - before training to test training needs, or after training to test knowledge retention.
  • 14. Videos Videos are very versatile as they can be used during classroom training, as part of e-learning, or as independent learning nuggets, addressing a single learning objective.
  • 15. Podcasts Podcasts are audio files that can be used to provide quick reminders, checklists, or messages from CEOs.
  • 16. Webinars Webinars are seminars delivered online by a subject matter expert or training manager.
  • 17. Digital Manuals and Resources (E-books) Traditionally, employees were given a physical training manual at the end of a training program. However, very often the physical manual is lost in the office clutter. Also, it is not possible to access this when the need presents itself unexpectedly. Therefore, having these documents in an easily accessible, digital format is ideal.
  • 18. How can Digital Learning Blend with Existing Training?

The most important aspect you need to take into account when going digital with your training program is figuring out what can be dealt with through a face-to-face interaction and what can go online. Ultimately, your objective is to equip your employees in the most effective manner, with the right skills and knowledge. Doing so will ensure they achieve the desired performance, which in turn will achieve organizational objectives.
