3. WORK EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. 1984- South African Railway
Junior Engineer – Supervise electrical projects on Tracking
Systems (E11 Locomotives)
2. 1984- East Rand Development Board
Electrical Engineer – 11kV Substation Infrastructure and
Reticulation Installations in the East Rand (Thembisa,
Tokhoza, Whattville, Duduza, Ekandustria,
Ekangala and Bronkhorstspruit)
Maintenance work was performed in the same areas.
3. 1988- Bronkhorstspruit Municipality
Head of Electrical Department - Management of men,
material, finances and projects. Complete change from 6,6kV
reticulation system to a 132kV and 11kV system. New
Substations were erected.
Annual Maintenance Budget – 8 million
Capital Budget – Several Loans from Gov (20 million).
4. 1989- De Villiers and Moore Electrical Consultants
Senior Design Engineer – Buildings and 11kV reticulation
design, specification and execution of projects by
contractors.
Project cost – 10 million
5. 1991- Cape Metropolitan Council.
Chief Engineer – Planning, Co-Ordinations, implementation
and Control of Budget & Electrical projects (Capital &
Maintenance).
Also Implemented a Maintenance Management System for
Electrical Equipment and a Culture Change Program.
Annual Budget – 60 million (inclusive of Capital work)
Managing Director – Fusco Trading: Private Owner Company
importing cutlery/crockery from China and Poland.
Arranged financial agreements in Hong Kong and
Frankfurt. Expanded on local distribution markets and
customer base. Responsible for the financial health of trading
company.
6. 1999- NETPLAN Electrical Consultants
Appointed Professional Design Engineer. Pr. Eng
Chief coordinator for Helderberg Municipality on Y2K.

4. Industrial projects include the relocation of an Factory, Petpak
& design of a 12 story building with three lifts & generator.
UPS design for main computer room.
Main Project cost – 16 million (3 million electrical and lift
system)
7. 2002- NEPA/ENL
Chief Operational Manager for NEPA (Nigerian Electrical
Power Authority) - Head of Abuja (Nigeria)
Projects included the implementation of technical, financial
and IT related solutions to a variety of problems in order to
improve revenue. The revenue of Abuja was increased from
150 million Naira to 300 million in 2 years.
8. 2004- Fusco Trading/Contractor – Managing Director
Execution/Installation of streetlight and reticulation projects,
Maintenance of 11kV switchgear, transformers, metering,
instrumentation and overhead lines.

Head of Electrical Section: Implemented and executed
` maintenance programs on 15 transformers, 11kV
Switchgear and 11000/600V Uninterrupted Power Supply
Units (1100kVA motor/generator sets)
Capital Work included the installation of Power Factor
Correction (PFC) on 11kV supply with alarm and
control/protection systems. (1.5 million)
GMR2 Function includes the implementation and execution of
the Law and Regulations (Health and Safety Act, 85 of
1993). Regulatory requirements and procedures were written
and implemented.
